I have PTSD, Anxiety and Depression, more fears than I can count. Driving has become a real problem causing me to have panick attacks to a point that I cannot drive as my mind shuts down and I don't know what I am doing. I wanted to do a telehealth. It is what I have with all my drs. I was scheduled for a telehealth, but was then told I had to see a Dr first. I have seen 3 appointments with Marijuana drs and all of those drs have left. They have a high turnover. My appt was canceled for me. I asked for a refund as this happened thru no fault of mine. But I am told no. Have spoken to 8 different people trying to get this resolved to no avail.Initial Complaint

Hello. I am a senior citizen and am 100% disabled. I suffer from PTSD, pain from my hip & left leg, & sleep apnea. The MMJ purchase limitations by Florida government cause me to continually run out of MMJ "flower" product before I can purchase again. On March 13, 2023, I went to "Marijuana Doctor" for the seven-month renewal of my MMJ account by physician. The appointment was previously made by them via an email reminder. I saw Dr. Michael B*****. It was a brief visit, & my renewal was made. I paid $139.00. Several days later during a visit to "Trulieve" dispensary I found that I could file for an exemption to my limitation through my marijuana doctor. I could get a badly needed increase on my limit. They told me my MMJ doctor could do that, call them. Being only one mile away from the dispensary, I drove to my MMJ doctor's location (address listed in complaint). Upon arrival and speaking with the receptionist, she conferred with the doctor. She told me that Dr. B***** said I needed to see my physician for the exemption. I left, went home and did more research. It turns out that the exemption has to be filed by a Florida "Qualified" MMJ physician. They're listed on the Florida OMU web site. I researched more and found that Dr. B***** is not qualified to file exemptions even though he can file renewals. Is this a good practice by this business? At my renewal on March 13th, Dr. B***** did not mention this option for exemption. They gladly took my $139 without ever speaking to me about that option even though my usage shows that I run low a lot. I called my original doctor in Tampa, Dr. David B*****. He does have that qualification. I made an appointment and have to pay an $129 to them for the exemption and new/change of doctor charges. This would have been my only cost had I visited them. Marijuana Doctor did not discuss this option nor are they able to perform that service, causing unnecessary charges by a different doctor and a change of doctors if that is needed.
