On June 9th, a home inspection was conducted at my property. In this report provided by Jason R*****, it was suspected that there was a serious mold issue in the ensuite bathroom closet. As a result of this concern, the seller's agent of the home retained Loss Reckon Services LLC to investigate the mold issue. On June 14th, the company claimed to have completed a mold assessment, charging the seller in the amount of $1000. In this report it was determined that "no elevated readings of mold were found". After two weeks of insisting to conduct an***** assessment, the company agreed to conduct an***** mold assessment on June 30th with the supervision of our realtor Adele B*******. This report published on June 30th determined that "there were in fact elevated readings of mold in the ensuite bathroom closet". The company claimed they completed mold remediation during the first week of July and on July 5th they provided a report claiming services were completed and no elevated readings of mold were found. Based on this information, we closed on the property and moved into the home with the assurance that the mold had been remediated. On July 19th, mold was discovered requiring mold remediation in the home in multiple locations - Second bedroom window beneath the windowsill. - Beneath a window in the living room - Master bedroom baseboards - Ensuite bathroom Immediately I reached out to the company several times and I received no response. Unfortunately, we had to pay for remediation services incurring a total unexpected cost of $4740.82 to remediate the mold in the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom because the elevations were unsafe for our baby reside in that area. We also had to incur the expenses of replacing all the drywall and the assessments. Had my family not decided to remodel some areas of the home, we would be living in an environment that had unsafe levels of mold affecting our health and safety.
