  On 02/01/1022 me and my husband went to tell the owner about the roach infestation that seems to get worse every time. Roaches are crawling on our beds, inside fridge, restroom, night side table. We've sprayed bought repellant and supposedly owner says they come spray. We have been living here for the past 6 months, are clean tenants, alway pay rent ahead of time and on time. The owner Asian lady by the name of Mrs. ***** told my husband to get the **** out move out by Sunday 2/6/2022 just for him complaining about the roach infestation in our room 9 that we've been living In Since August of 2021. She told my husband that this is not the place for us to live since he complained so he can get the **** out and we need to be out by Sunday 02/09/22 She does this with anyone who give a complaint or brings up a concern. Me and my husband now have 3 days to leave without any place to go with such short notice. This place has a horrible le roach infestation and other health hazardous problems.

  Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/03/21) */ To whom it may concern, In regards to case # ******** Aurea ******, Ms. ***** was a guest to the main renter here at the Howard Vernon Motel. The customer had issues with standard policies here at the motel, for example there are signs on both entrance doors coming into front ofce stating " Please wear Face mask when entering the ofce, the customer never followed per said policy and was constantly asked to wear a mask when coming to the ofce. The couple had numerous complaints during their stay here about different neighbors at different times being to loud to customer reporting that someone spit on their car, to the most recent issue concerning pest control. Every time the customer reported issues with pest we contacted our pest control company, Orkin Pest Control. Orkin treated this room on several occasions and treated for said pests. The owner also treated that room on a couple of times. It was also explained to customer that you must give the treatment time to be effective and do proper clean up afterwards. Customer continued to come to the ofce with complaints. Finally the owner told customer that she did not feel our business was a good t for them and that it was time for them to move on. Customer then pleaded with the owner to allow them to stay. After the owner denied request. The customer came to ofce very loud and said he was calling code enforcement, and they would shut this place down. He did this in front of other customers. State Inspector did come and investigate and found only evidence of A dead roach, No living pest and closed case while here the same day. The customer then called the police as well. Police advised them to check out on due date. Customer left on check out day without any further issues. Thank you for requesting our side of the story, we do feel that the Howard Vernon Motel did everything necessary , but there were just to many complaints and issues with these customers. Here at the Howard Vernon Motel we have a contract with Orkin and a regular scheduled monthly treatment, and we also have intermediate service for issues that come up in between service times. 24/7 service with our Orkin agreement. The customer stayed on our Efficiency side of the motel, which is a weekly rental. Thank you, Front Desk Manager, Dusty *******
