  She said she was a teacher that teaches medical assistant and phlebotomy we started class 3/2023 it was supposed to be a 6 week class there was a bunch of absences from the teacher materials that wasn’t given and she took my $750 dollars that I paid to her weekly for a non accredited class she was unprofessional after the phlebotomy class some of us went to proceed to work with the certification and was told it was fake then she cursed me out when I requested a refund and I have a bunch of text messages and WhatsApp messages from me asking her where’s class being held week after week she didn’t give us anything she told us came with payment’s she skipped out on class and told us lies I have supporting documents from this lady her name is martavia b****

  Good morning. ****** is referring to my other business Angel Hands Educational and Training Center, which is not a part of BBB. However, since there is a complaint, I'd gladly provide details and supporting documents. ****** signed up for a Medical Assistant Course that was scheduled to run from 8-10 weeks. In that time, the student missed 5 classed, equivalent to 5 weeks. I advised the student that instead of kicking her out for the missed classes, I'll extend the course because my name is on the line and I will not pass anyone who isn't ready. The student didn't retain the information that was previously taught, which was the reason for extending the course. The student was given a certificate of completion for the Phlebotomy portion of the course, which is a value of $750. The student had 3 sessions remaining. I asked if she was coming, at first, she said yes. Then, she changed her mind and stated no. After asking for a refund, she stated that she didn't want to come anymore. I advised her that she voids any refunds because most of the course was completed. She decided to to complete the course, the course was never canceled. Also, I have students working in hospitals now as a phlebotomist with the certificate provided by me. Also, I handled every conversation with respect. I do not curse or use profanity to speak with anyone. I'm a pastor so that is not in my character. Anyone who knows me, know that I do not get out of character. Also, according to the contract attached, because the student wasn't paying in time, there were late fees owed that was never paid. Also, because the student dropped the class, the remaining balance is still due according to the contract attached.

  It is very unfortunate that the student isn't taking responsibility for not completing the course. The course is an 8-10 week course. The start date was 2.27.23-4.29.23. If you look at my previous message. All of the student's absences were between that time. The class was extended due to these absences. As stated before, I would not pass a student if I felt they were not capable of passing the AMHA credentialing exam. All of the dates stated in the student's comment above are in regards to dates after the class should have ended. As I stated, out of the kindness of my heart, I extended the course to benefit the students. In that event, the monies should have been forfeited at that time. Her sister again only came to 1 session, which is prior to any incident. The god sister was having financial problems and couldn't pay for the course as stated by that student. The resolution to this would be for the student to not pay for the remaining of the course, which she agreed to according to the contract she signed. I take responsibility for attempting to help this group of people. I have other students who completed the course and is working in hospitals with the certification provided by Angel Hands Educational and Training Center. Which, by the way, is a different entity from Angel Hands Phlebotomy Services LLC. Even after being verbally abused by the student, I still remained humble and professional. While having our last conversation to resolve this, I was in my lawyers office at the time, and she heard everything the student and her god sister were saying that was inappropriate and I was hung up on. I would really like to get past this. We will not release any refund because the student completed most of the course. I have been very gracious to all of my students. No other student in my other courses complained. I have apologized to the student for them feeling like I have caused them to not complete the course for whatever reason.

  It has not been resolved the business owner has not resolved anything and she does not wish to do so
