On July 27th, 2023 I gave Pinch a Penny employee my credit card information over the phone to charge for a pool pump, pool filter, and installation charges. The price of the equipment was confirmed prior, the installation charges (number of hours to install) were not. Business would not forward receipt of charges until after numerous calls and request to do so. The business owner, Raj, scheduled installation on more than 5 occasions and would not show up. A variety of excuses were give and depending on which person I spoke to a different reason was given. Owner and employee stories did not align. Owner was extremely unprofessional - sending texts at 1:45 am, language in text and in person. After two weeks of no shows for installation I went to the store and directed them to refund my credit card. The owner's father, Selwyn said he would tell his son to do so. They have shown no indication of processing a refund. They do not answer the phone when I call and at one point the store was unexplainedly closed for several days. I contacted one of their employees and he told me he didn't know what was going on, that he had shown up for work, the store was closed, and he could not contact Raj. It has been 6 weeks since I first entered this business looking for help with my pool and one month since I paid for equipment and services not rendered. It is clear they are avoiding me and plan to steal the $2,707.83 I paid them. I seek immediate refund for this payment.
