the project manager is ****************** The work started on 10/18/23 & now 11/19/23. It has been 30 days and the original scope of work is not completed. We signed the proposal on October 17th for $4944.89 and paid the 50% ($2472.45). This was to repair the stucco on the rear of the house, the facia, the patio roof and part of patio ceiling. The patio ceiling is halfway through, the affected sheet rock was removed on November 2nd and is still open and has not been fixed. it has been 17 days today is November 19th . Additionally, the stucco work and the paint on the back of the house is not totally complete, there are several areas (painting does not match, stucco work has divets and missing areas) which need to be addressed. CFL's crew broke the kitchen drain cover on the rear of the house & left it open without so much as a cover over it and without reporting the incident. I discovered this while doing a walk through on 10/31/23. This has not been fixed.Worked started on Wednesday 10/18 (Partial stucco removed)Then it was delayed by CFL until Sunday 10/22. They were supposed to be there in the morning and they didn't show up until the afternoon (some plywood was removed and replaced)I spoke with ***** on 10/23 about a small portion of additional stucco to be removed and he said the workers would show up and nobody came until Thursday 10/28 and continued through Saturday 10/28 (Tyvec, Metal lathe, stucco, paint)Then they returned on Monday 10/30 Tuesday 10/31 to work on the shingles, fascia, painting The sheet rock guy showed up around 5pm on 10/31 and did not know what to do he was going to patch up the wet wood until I told him it was supposed to be partially replaced. He was not aware of this so he left and said he would be back on Thursday 11/2 On Thursday late afternoon 2 different crews show up to work on the sheet rock and they both had incorrect information. One was here to texture the other to patch and I had to text and call and get it sorted out. So finally one crew left and the other guy removed the portion of the sheet rock. The 2X4 seemed damaged and the guy was not able to communicate and understand so another fellow ********* came back on Friday 11/3 to inspect and ensure it was fine The patio ceiling is still open and needs to be closed up fixed, painted They now send a proposal for $8995 with grossly incorrect measurements. They said an additional 132 SF of stucco was removed and additional 72SF was replaced when the actual measurements 100SF of removal + 52SF of replacement. The total should be closer to $6200.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: the work has not been completed. It sounds like this company is holding hostage the full completion of the agreed work which includes repairing the drain pipe they broke and damaged and the stucco work. Does the BBB find this appropriate?

We made an agreement that you would remove your complaint and review before the work is completed. You have not done your part in sticking to the agreement. There is no holding anything hostage, you made an agreement that you are trying to not stick to now. Once you complete your part of the agreement then we can complete our part. We have done everything we can to work with you and get this completed, you are the only one preventing this from being finished and closed. We have it in writing and multiple witnesses for our agreement so please remove the complaint and reviews so we can move forward.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:CFL has not completed the work they started since October. How is this acceptable to delay for over 2 months. What kind of customer service and business practice is this.
the issues have been documented in this complaint and the proposal/agreement.please fix the stucco job and other issues which have been mentioned. it has major problems
please repair the drain valve you broke over 2 months ago.
please honor the work you are supposed to complete as a company.

Dear BBB
i have been dealing with this CFL company for over 2 months since October. I have provided a detailed account of their numerous delays and lack of response.
The stucco job has to be fixed what they did is not complete. I have also communicated this with them via email. I have not seen this kind of shody work before and on top of that refusal to adhere to the written agreement until the complaint is removed. This in and of itself is extraordinary and not acceptable in my opinion.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
CFL has not fixed stucco job. It has divets all across the surface and doesnt match the texture. I have sent emails about this directly to CFL and also stated this in the communication with BBB
The drain valve has not been repaired.the agreement which I have shared with BBB clearly states that this.

We addressed the Stucco and you met with the project manager and understood the texture would not match 100%. You agreed and even had ******** it after that. The drain valve cover, we are waiting on you for, so please give the office a call.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have sent several emails informing you (CFL) that the work on the stucco needs to be fixed even after your workers came and patched over the wall. I did not accept the workRegarding repairing the drain valve which you (CFL) broke in October that is in the written agreement You CFL are obligated to adhere to this
The BBB must enforce the written agreement if you as a business are refusing to abide by it

I am rejecting this response because:
I contacted your office previously about the broken drain pipe and they asked me for the number of a certified plumber I provided the name and phone number of a certified plumber. You contacted him and after he explained the work and the quote you decided not to go with him. I then asked you to get another plumber and quote and have not heard back. I will once again contact your office about this and try to get it resolvedRegarding the stucco it still needs to be repaired. There are so many divets and unevenness and the workmanship is bad I have taken pictures sent it to you and I invite anyone from your company to come to the house and look at it
I paid you the 50% on October 17 2023 before you started the work. On November 20 2023 I came to your office and discussed all the left over work and the change in price. I was ready that day (I still am) to pay the extra 50% for the additional amount due to the total amount increasing. However the office manager in the presence of others said it was not necessary and could be paid at the end.
The main issues remain the work left on the stucco and the drain pipe you broke. Let us resolve this. I spoke to one of the managers yesterday Hopefully he will help get the remaining work done

Dear BBB I have written several times that this has not been resolved. The business is continuing to stall and not want to resolve this issue. I wrote before and asked that you not close this complaint. I have left several messages for the business and they are not returning my calls. I have been dealing with this since October which is unacceptable. The business CFL has not honored their contract they signed on November 20 2023 which I have sent to you previously.

I am rejecting this response because:i called back left a message at the office twice. Once with **** the other was a voice mail. I also called ***** one of the managers I spoke with at the office previously and left him a message. Then I also texted him.
I have been trying to solve this since October 30 even providing Cfl with a certified plumber.Cfl not responding to me. Why is it taking this long? They should have fixed it right away after I told them and sent them the information. This is extremely frustrating to have a broken drain pipe covered with plastic for over 3 months
the stucco remains to be fixed also. The numerous divets and unevenness must be addressed. I explained and sent pictures

They installed the wrong color shingles on my house and now they're refusing to correct their problem. I am going to attach a picture so you can see how off the coloring is on the shingles. They are telling me that the dark roof has faded which is why the light color shingles they installed don't match. The roof was dark the shingles should be dark too.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/28) */ The same brand and same color shingle that was originally installed on the roof was used to complete the repair. When completing repairs there is always a possibility and it is highly likely for the new material being installed to not match what is currently on the roof even when using the same brand and same color, due to age difference or different batches & lots. This is always disclosed to the homeowner upfront before the repair is completed. If what they said is true the color shingle used for the repair would be darker than the color of the roof since the roof would have faded more than the shingles they installed. Since the shingles they installed are so bright it only makes sense that they used the wrong color shingle. Please replace with the proper shingle that matched the sample. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/11/07) */ The correct shingle color was used. There are multiple reasons that shingles can discolor or darken over time. The President of the company would be happy to schedule a time to meet with the homeowner to discuss the issue. I have already been in touch with Dana D***** from your company and she agreed that you used the wrong color shingles and even sent me an email saying you would correct the problem. Yet, in a follow up conversation she was told by the office manager that they wouldn't honor the work. Please come out and fix the work that Mrs. D***** already said you would do back on October 6th. That message was due to the phone discussion where homeowner stated it was leaking from the previously repaired area which would have been covered by warranty but once Dana spoke to the office about the repair technicians findings, which were that it was a new area for repair a few feet away from the previous repair, she had another phone discussion with the homeowner about this. Once more, the President of the company would be happy to schedule a time to meet with the homeowner to discuss the issue.
