In the summer of 2022, I had my roof replaced by Shield Roofing under the license of Joshua B******* Since the replacement, Shield Roofing has dissolved and Joshua started a new business, *** ******* *** ************* **** After having my roof replaced, I endured significant water damage to the interior of my home. After months of attempting to connect with Joshua, he and a crew visited my residence in February 2023 to inspect the roof. He shared that the the seam above my kitchen was not sealed, and that the roof was not redone correctly leaving an area where water was pooling (visually noticeable at the area where the seam was not sealed). The crew sealed the unsealed seam, and I was told that we could schedule a time for Josh to return, repair the roof, and assess the interior damages. He has been unresponsive to all contact attempts since.Initial Complaint

A down payment in the amount of $4,763.00 was paid to Shield Roofing on 04/18/22 (see attached receipt). This down payment was paid for the replacement of the roof and gutters at the private residence on ************************************* (see attached quotes). No work has been started on our house and the company has just informed us that they will be "closing its doors". We have tried contacting Shield Roofing but have received no response from them.Initial Complaint

In March 2022, I gave Sheild Roofing a $606 deposit for a roofing repair that was supposed to be done in May 2022. In July 2022, I called the salesman Dean C**** about an update of my job and he never returned my call. I called their South Point Ohio office and spoke with Jessica. She said the scheduling manager would call me, which he never did. I called Jessica back and asked for a refund of my $606 payment. She said that I would be receiving a check. I got the check and deposited it and it bounced. I have called the numbers that I have for Shield roofing and the voice message comes on but no call backs. I would like to get my $606 deposit and $35 check charge for a total of $641. You can remove your A+ rating for Shield Roofing.
