I tried purchasing a ticket from **************** to *********** ********** they quoted me one price. I received an email to call them to verify my flight itinerary when I did, they charged me an additional $68, claiming that ********* Airlines had overbooked and I had to move my seat. After they charged me an additional $100 for the flight that I was originally only paying $187.98 I called ********* Airlines they informed me that they don't overbook there were only 37 seats sold on this flight there is no separate seating for increased charges and this place was fraudulent it is a third party when I went to a website Travelocity Priceline this third party booking agent is on their website you might want to inform Expedia Priceline and other trusted sources to receive good or cheap airfare to look at their ****************** that they're endorsing because these people are ripping people off fraudulently now I have to go to my bank and try to retrieve the $100 that they overcharged me ********* airlines, was very helpful in helping me read book and suggested that I go to my bank and that I report these people to the Better Business Bureau.

Agency overcharged for my LAX-***** itinerary by $1,400.00. Since sending them the demand letter there has been stall tactics, delays and lies in responding with an immediate chargeback to my ***************** I have alerted ***** and the SunSentinel newsper. Purchased airline tickets through website the evening of Friday 11-24-23 and paid; ref # JA172371.The next day Saturday 11-25-23 Justairticket called to demand an additional $100.The company stated that they could not cancel and refund my purchase because the flight had already been booked. The fight is with ********* Airlines.Justairticket claimed that the additional $100 was to upgrade the seating class.********* airlines does not have multiple seating classes. This is a lie.Justairticket then claimed that the $100 was to pay for carry-on luggage.********* Airlines does not charge for carry-on baggage and this fact is displayed prominently on ********* Airlines main webpage. This is a lie.I was given the option of either paying more money or losing all of my money.I asked multiple times to cancel so that I could re-book the trip with another provider.Justairticket offered to change tickets to different dates for the same price. This contradicts the claim that the reservation had already been non-refundably booked. They did not offer any way to secure tickets for the price they advertised, supplied and I originally paid.I was forced to pay them additional money and acknowledge that I agreed to the additional charges or lose all money. This business practice and my specific exchange with this company has to be illegal.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The pricing process is very tricky when it comes airline tickets. Tickets were made available to the third party agencies in bulk. When grabbing these seats after chosen by the customers, a GDS software used by travel agents tries to lock the available seat (available from the bulk tickets), there are chances that the airline had sold those available seats before the agency without noticing anyone as they are the main subject who sells their own tickets.

Similarly in this case, it is due to the fact that while trying to confirm the flight opted by the customer, the airline has increased the particular class of ticket due to which there was a price hike unnoticed.

I am rejecting this response because:

The assertion that the ticket price increased does not help this business case.

Since the same tickets could still be seen for the same price in the same internet location after I was required to pay higher rates it proves that false information is being provided to customers on either one side of the transaction or the other.

There's no empirical way for me as an outsider / customer to verify the stated reason I was required to pay more.

What I do know as accurate and true with absolute certainty is that two reasons given were outright lies.

With no way to prove the third case we can only view the fact that another customer would reasonably be placed into my exact situation if they made the same purchase the following day.

I still count that as three strikes.

Consumers reading this: make up your own minds about whether this transaction seems proper and the provided excuse reasonable.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

I believe that it would have been best for me to also make the point that the additional charge proposed was not fixed.

I was able to negotiate the additional fee down from +40% to only +15%.

If the price was increased by the airline then the price would be fixed at a higher rate; not negotiable.

IF justairticket had paid for a portion of that increase on my behalf, in essence sharing the cost, they most certainly would have made that point during our conversation and subsequently in their response to my complaint.

If in fact they did not pay the airline money from their bank account to subsidize my purchase then they have admitted that they were originally trying to take an additional 25% commission from me improperly.

Any angle you view this transaction from reveals multiple lies or lies about the other lies.

One must logically conclude that intentional malfeasance is present in some form.

I purchased an airfare on Justairticket.com on 9/21/2023. When I checked out the FINAL price was listed as $1,724.00. I received an email and called them back, the price they confirmed going up to $1,950.00. I told them I’m unable to afford it and would like to cancel it. However, the representative said there would be a $58 cancellation fee even though their website stated “FREE CANCELATION WITHIN 24 HOURS. The customer service also forced me to reply back to email stated that “I’m voluntary and agreed for them to charged $58.00 cancellation fee without dispute”. The government needs to shut down this kind of business since it waste time of clients and steal a lot of money from customers. They always listed tickets with lower price, let customer booking, and increased price later. If you canceled, they charged certain amount before making refund. I would like them to refund the $58.00 unreasonable fee that they charged on my credit card.

I purchased an airfare on Justairticket.com on 5/5/23, reference number ********. When I checked out the FINAL price was listed as $377.80. I received a call from them 5 minutes later and they said the fare had gone up and it was actually going to cost me $432.80. I told them I no longer wanted it and would continue shopping for a better rate, but they said there would be a $55 cancellation fee since they were holding a ticket for me which doesn’t make sense that my airfare would increase if they had a ticket held for me. I would like them to refund the $55 hidden taxes and fees and honor the $377.80 FINAL price they had advertised on their site. There a hundreds of 1 star reviews about this company and the shady business they run. Companies like this are a disgrace and need to be put out of business.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience the customer may have faced on purchasing a flight ticket from our website.

At the same time, we would like to clarify some of the facts while making a reservation online. The prices shown on the website are dynamic in nature and can fluctuate any time until and unless the ticket is confirmed as we, the travel agency has no control over the prices set by the airline.

For this particular booking, the passenger is regarded as an unaccompanied minor according to the airline's specification. The price offered was a regular fare that has no specific access included. Since the passenger is underage, the taxes and service fee mentioned changed while the ticket was under process. The ticket reservation was completed however in order to honour the ticket, we need to make the payment to the airline according to the new fare reflected on our reservation software called GDS.

Since we have already pre-confirmed the ticket through our account on behalf of the customer, the mentioned cancellation fee applies. It is our assurance to all our customers that regardless of the changes in fare (higher or lower) while booking the ticket, no extra service fee is being charged.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The company stated that the fee was due to the traveler being an unaccompanied minor. The traveler in this case was 13 years old and as stated in the airline’s website, unaccompanied minor fees are only mandatory for children 5-12.

I purchased a ticked to Washington through the Just air ticket website. The advertisement stayed round trip ticket was $276.00. I put my card information in and purchased the ticket. I did not receive an email confirming my purchase but a call within seconds from my purchase. The agent stated i purchased a return standby ticket and i had to pay $33.95 to change flight to the 7:00pm flight . I stated i wanted to cancel ticket and he said I would be charged $49.00 . Not to cancel he would help me. He put me on hold and said someone just canceled and I could have the original flight for $33.95. He said i had to sent a reply to and email he sent me saying i agree to charge. I had no choice but to send email. This ticket website are scammers. Their website shows a price then they trick you by saying ticket is standby. And you must pay more. Website did not say standby. They show the charge as taxes and don’t use credit card but paypal so you cant rebut the charge. People be warned they are scammers. I want my $33.95 refunded.

Purchased airline tickets with this company, after purchase they call you saying the price of the fair went up and say anything into deceiving you into paying by even saying the fee is "taxes".

      Hi,

First of all We want to extend our sincerest apologies concerning the issues that the customer has faced with us  and  that we could not offer her the same fare and the flights that the customer requested online as unfortunately the fares and availability are not under our control as it strictly depends on the availability of the inventory in the flights. When we priced the ticket, the negotiated fare quoted at the time of advertising/disclosing on the website, was no longer accepted by the airline due to which we have to re-price the ticket and accordingly we inform the same to the customer before charging the Card and we even sent an charge authorization to the Card holder with the new revise fare. The card holder accepted the new fare verbally an even on written after the approval given by the Card holder than we only charge and issue the ticket. As a travel agency, we put our best to provide cheaper fares to all our customers and we will ensure to provide a better booking experience. We really apologize as we have no control over the negotiated and discounted fare, but to sell a ticket in which the fares are approved by the airline. Please Find the attached file as a proof .Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:

I was charged twice for the same fair, the price I was supposed to pay was $584.77. They tacked on an additional charged called "Government's Cut" for $114.00 which I did not authorize. I sent them an email back asking a cancelation of the reservation and full refund which was ignored.

      Sincerely,

This company took my confirmation number for a flight and canceled my flight in order to try to keep me with his company instead. He offered me 5000 dollars in travel vouchers if my flight was confirmed then asked for the confirmation code and then canceled my flight. I went back and booked the same flight without receiving a cancelation email

I booked what I thought was a standard airfare though Justairticket. After providing my personal info including credit card numbers and birth dates, I moved on to the next booking step which should have been seat assignments. However I got a message that I would need to call justairticket to determine if I was who I was. Because this seemed very unusual and suspicious I looked at the BBB complaints filed against them. There are similar complaints in which after calling back justairfare attempts to raise airfare costs. This appears to be a classic bait and which tactic. So I don’t want to do any business with this company and will dispute any charges to my credit card by Justairticket.

On November 21, 2022 I went to the website for this company, Justairticket, trying to purchase an airline ticket from Chattanooga, TN to Manila, Philippines from Dec 17-Dec 29 2022 and found a good price of $2649.98 round trip. When I called and talked to an agent he informed me that the price was actually over $2800.00. When I asked why the listed price was different than what he quoted me, he said everybody did that and that they would not honor the posted price so I did not make the purchase. I am not sure if he just told me about the bait and switch to charge more money or if everybody does do business like that. Either way it is wrong and unethical and should not be allowed. It should go for the posted (advertised) price. If they do not make it right, this company may have lost a potential repeat customer because I hope to make more trips like this in the future with some agency or airline.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/23) */ All the price shown on our website are dynamic in nature since the airline fare fluctuates every single minute. Until and unless the seats are confirmed in the system, the price is dynamic. It can be less or higher. Similarly for this booking the customer is complaining about, it is more likely that the price fluctuated before it got connfirmed in the system.
