I originally brought my car in because of a vibration in the transmission when gears shift. Jesus, the owner told me it was the transfer case. His assistant told me the cost is $3795.92 because the had to buy an entire transmission so the case would match up, but they only replaced the transfer case anyway. The price was outrageous, but I need my car for work. It was completed May 23 and it is now July 11. I just had an alternator put in when my mechanic noticed the transmission was leaking from the area of the transfer case and told me to bring it back to Quality Transmission being that it was under warranty. When I brought it back today to get the leak fixed and report that its still having the same problem, they refused to fix the leak they caused, and told me the problem is now the torque converter for the same issue I brought in for in the first place. They want an additional $2035.20 which was actually the original problem. The reason I haven't identified the problem sooner is because I've been renting another car for the month, and the leak was hidden by the engine guard. I had a rental car through***** and haven't been driving the Mercedes until recently. I wasn't stressing because it was supposed to be covered under warranty. Now Quality Transmission doesn't even want to fix the problem they created. They totally deceived me with the false diagnosis. Then created another problem with the transfer case and the leak which they don't want t fix even though that's clearly under warranty. Now they tell me its a different problem all together after I already paid them. Your immediate attention is greatly appreciated, as this has put me out of work now. I am an***** driver. Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/08) */ Mr. ***** visited our shop complaining that his vehicle had a vibration as soon as he took off. After the diagnosis and test drive we found that the transfer case had an issue with the input shaft. We started a process with an extended warranty that he provided. Although we communicated with the warranty company, Mr. ***** decided to do the process himself. The warranty sent an inspector, he revised the transfer case and took pictures of the damaged parts. The customer did the same as well. The repair was authorized and performed. the customer returned to the shop after a while with a shuttering noise. After a diagnostic was performed it came out to be the torque converter which is not related to the work we performed.
