Test drove a car.***** test drove w/ me around the block that has never happened before as I have visited the lot a couple of times over the last several ************************ about their cars from others in ****************. I even was there to assist a friend to purchase their car back in 2019 which they still driving with no mechanical issues. Im really disappointed as I did business in good ********** being mishandled .Anytime I asked for the carfax I was handed a report that showed no accidents , I was told that there was no Carfax. However, I noticed on a few other vehicles had both ****************** reports .My insurance advised that any *** or Sonata wouldnt be covered. So I opted for the ******* ******* told me to hold the car it was $500 down& they'll clean the car ; LIE&have the car ready for me later that afternoon. I returned to complete the transaction with ********* Id requested the Carfax again & was told there was none. I requested to purchase another vehicle due to no carfax but ******** advised that the $500 couldnt be used for the new vehicle that I would lose my $500 I requested to review the contract prior to paying the remaining down payment . I was told she was still filling out the bill of ********** needed the full amount to hand over the contract. I paid the remaining $4032.17. Reviewed the ***************** shown it wasnt a salvage;signed the deal. It was dark when I got the vehicle home &I saw roaches in the car. I went to ******* to purchase foggers to kill the roaches immediately. I didnt have the car for 30 minutes & the issues were beginning come to the forefront . Next morning I vacuum all the dead roaches; later that day a friend notices trash stuck in the passenger ac vent. I look over the car in the daylight realize that smell in the car wasnt from pervious owner smoking. It was rotten food imbedded in seats. The car hadnt been cleaned at all. Saturday morning I was running the car it started jump like the transmission was slipping. I honestly thought that it was the tracker in the car as I never had one before . I went to clean the car again& bought more ***** bait.Monday the car drove fine & I saw less roaches as I placed ***** bait all over the car. Tuesday night after work a coworker told me that my car was leaking. I seen two spots one clear &the other with a red tint. Contacted LC immediately , was told to bring in the car &they will have to keep it for DAYS! I have to work so I called a mechanic to have the issue checked out as at this point Im realizing that I was swindled. As I was still expected to make the first payment the in 8 days. Id the car fully detailed to help rid of smell of smoke & food . I wanted to trade in the car as so much happened in less than 5 days. I went to get the car appraised & was given the Carfax, showed 2 ********************** damage to the front, airbags were deployed. 2nd accident was rear ended. I was intentionally not given the Carfax of the car. I was in fact told that there was no accidents. More lies! *** returned the vehicle after 5.5 days & 112 miles driven & being told to give them my tag that belongs to me over & Im only to get $1575 of the $4531.17 as they have to clean the car &re- advertise the. Im being told $2900 of the are not refundable as I used the vehicle . The deal is unethical & formed under false pretense. THE DEAL SHOULD BE VOIDED. The car wasnt safe to drive.

Please review attached files. The vehicle was abandoned in front of the dealership on 2/29/24. Customer did not give us a chance to remedy the situation or diagnose the problem she's stating the vehicle has. We advised her to bring the vehicle to our shop so the mechanics can see what is causing the alleged leak.

We did not force ****************** to purchase this vehicle. She had the opportunity to purchase a Carfax even if we did not provide her one. Our sales staff do not advertise that the vehicles have not been in accidents since we cannot know for sure. Many facts in this complaint are misrepresented.

The paperwork and contract were ready for the customer to view, had she asked for them, before finalizing the down payment. She did ask if it was possible to switch the vehicle to another vehicle, to which ******* responded that she would have to speak with the owner to see if the $500 deposit ****************** made was transferrable to the other vehicle. ****************** stated that it was okay and she no longer wished to switch the vehicle.

We are willing to refund ****************** some of her deposit ($1575). We cannot refund the tax, tag, title, and application fees ($1382.17). Since ****************** wishes to keep the tag given to her by LC Motors, we must pay the sales tax, tag transfer, replacement, renewal fees, and title transfer fees to the *** and ** ********** of ******** After the vehicle paperwork is processed by the *** we must then pay to re-title the vehicle in our name. This process follows the *** rules and regulations and is standard procedure.

We wish to point out that the **************** has no cooling off period for vehicle sales. LC Motors tried to remedy the situation with ****************** by offering to perform diagnostics and repairs on the vehicle even though the vehicle was sold in AS-IS condition. ****************** refused and ultimately the vehicle was abandoned at our location.

To address a lot of misinformation giving in the rebuttal of LC MOTORS. In the 1 st picture is a text exchange between I & ******* of the price breakdown of vehicle on 2/21/24 a day prior to purchase-as well confirms that I had already had my own tag that was to be transferred and renewed costing $135. So that proves the claim of giving me a LIE #1. Moving along to pic#2 of email convo that had taken place in Jan. 2024 that I had tolls as I had mentioned in my prior statement that I had wanted a car from them as I heard great things about their cars for a while . However with this ordeal has changed my opinion. Initially I believed I was getting a great deal. I was soonto be proven wrong. Pic #3 is my email requesting to speak with owner after missing a day of work to deal with leaks . Pic #4 is a text exchange b/w Mally & I stating that I was to return the car which addresses LIE#2 I didnt abandon the car at all!, I did what any reasonable person would do ; my money is on the line here, LIE #3 I refused to allow them view the car however after speaking with my mechanic he advised me to get a 2nd opinion on the car to ensure the car was even safe to as he heard the audio recording of me purchasing the car with ******* and the non refundable and transferable $500 deposit convo; he deemed them untrustworthy he advised not to let LC MOTORS Mechanic  to touch the car as he believed that they wouldnt get me a honest diagnosis as they were hiding something. All this happened on Wednesday 2/28/24. My mechanic wasnt available until Friday to view the car and I expressed that to ***** , however she stated that the owner requested that the car be returned and my deposit would be returned minus some fees . I agreed brought the car to the dealer before work as *** already missed 11 hours dealing with the car. As for my mechanic he  told me if they were not willing to give me a Carfax then something major is wrong with car & lo and behold he was right!! Video #1 is of the morning of return of car as requested by LC MOTORS it shows that the odometer and state that I returned car in as well all the ***** bait I had to put in the car. All in all I would like to end this amicably and have the full amount of my deposit minus tag fees as its my tag was renewed . As for sales tax theyll sell the car again quickly and get right back. For the record I didnt abandon car. I only driven the car 116 miles , the car isnt safe to drive LC MOTORS are aware of that hence why they requested for me to return the car and not to let my mechanic to take a look at it. If LC MOTORS is requesting to return only $1575 of my deposit. I would need an invoice of ONLY what the ***** is charging them for this transaction.

Correction non transferable $500 fee. As ******* stated that there were other potential buyers that came in to get the car and they lost out on that sale as I put a deposit to hold the car. She did state that she would ask the owner about the other ****** SUV but I would lose the $ 500. And the payments would be much higher and on a shorter term. I wasnt willing to lose any money. I wish the file was smaller to upload here.

I am rejecting this response because: deceptive practices I was told that there was no Carfax. In fact there was a Carfax. Also I had a written agreement where they would have their mechanic too check to see whether the leaks were as a recent phone call placed two days ago I was told by ***** that their mechanic will not touch my vehicle because they have to wait until I default on two payments in order for them to look at the car.
Shady company. That will double talk and are manipulative.
      Sincerely,

I do apologize, we did transfer a tag you already had. That was an error on our part. We did not issue a tag for you from our inventory.

      1. Vehicle was purchased and non-refundable taxes, tag transfer, title transfer, application fees were collected. You were informed that the deposit left on the vehicle was non-refundable. We have signs in the office stating "all sales are final" "no refunds or returns". You signed 3 different forms stating the vehicle was being sold in as-is condition. Page 4 of the finance contract you signed has a clause titled "No Cooling Off Period" which includes the following: State law does not provide a cooling off or cancellation period for this sale. After you sign this contract, you may only cancel it if
the Seller agrees or for legal cause. You cannot cancel this contract simply because you change your mind.

      2. You were in possession of the vehicle from 2/22/24-2/28/24. During this time we were informed of something leaking and we advised you to bring the vehicle to us so we can see what is leaking.

      3. Vehicle was dropped off to us on 2/28/24 and the license plate was taken off. This is an indicator to us that the vehicle has been abandoned since the plate and registration have been removed from the vehicle.

      4. We are not required to provide third party services or reports such as a Carfax report. There is absolutely no burden on LC Motors to purchase and provide you with any kind of report. You were able to insure the vehicle which means you had the *** number of the vehicle. To purchase a Carfax report, you need the *** number and a method of payment. You had the opportunity to purchase and view a Carfax report on your own accord.

      5. All fees are outlined in the Bill of Sale. A copy of this was provided to you during the time of purchase. The State does not send us invoices.

      6. ******* has a two-party consent rule that requires all involved parties to give legal consent before a private conversation may be recorded. Recording our sales staff without their knowledge and permission is illegal. ******* statutes 934.03 and 934.04.

      7. We can provide you a refund of $1575. The down payment was $3150 plus tax, tag, title, application fees. As stated before, tax, tag, title, application fees are non-refundable.

They led me to believe that the camry I was looking to buy had a clean title, they even sent me a picture of the title trying to make it appear as if it was clean, it wasnt the car was marked a total loss by insurance due to frame damage. They didnt admit anything was wrong with the car till after i confronted them with the carfax they tried to lie and say they told me on the phone it was a total loss/frame damage which is entirely not true im not looking for money I just dont want anyone to get scammed.

Complainant called to get more info about a vehicle for sale. He was informed about the title status and that the vehicle has a total loss reporting from an accident. Whether the title is clean or rebuilt is not in our power to change. That is handled by ******

Complainant was informed about the history of the vehicle verbally over the phone. Also a ****** was sent to him. We are not hiding information about the history of our vehicles. Please see pictures attached of the report inside the vehicle. Note the date is from August 2023 so that is when the report was generated and placed inside the car for anyone to view. Again, this report plus a ****** are INSIDE of the vehicle for anyone to view.

Also, ****** if you're going to have the courage to include screenshots in your official BBB complaint, please include the vulgar messages you sent to the ladies at our office. Kindly never contact us again.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: you did not verbally ever tell me it was a salvage title you actually told me it was a clean title you also never gave me a car fax i had to pay for my own so thats 2 lies right there. Youre running a shaddy business trying to get one over on people, all I want is for you to clearly mark your veichle as a salavge title in your ads but you wont because then it wouldnt be worth nearly as much as your listing it for. At the end of the day we both know youre lying just know karma is real.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ********
