1 starMy regretful experience with my timeshare agreement with Hyatt ************** previously known as **** Resorts, began in October 2021 and has since left me in a difficult financial situation, paying for something I can neither use nor enjoy.What I was not told was that when the representative and manager were checking my credit, they also opened an *** Mastercard in my name without my explicit consent to cover the $3,000 expense. I was eventually coerced into accepting a loan with an exorbitant *****% interest rate, despite my concerns but with the assurance that I could refinance later. The entire process was rushed and left me feeling overwhelmed and completely out of control. I never intended to take on debt, yet I found myself locked in a financial commitment I did not fully understand. To make matters worse, I was shocked to discover my first maintenance fee was over $1,000, far more than the $200 I had *********** the years that followed, I have found it increasingly difficult to use my timeshare benefits. The owner portal is difficult to navigate, and the process for booking vacations, especially international travel, is cumbersome. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to book any vacations that match the promises made during the presentation. The resorts available through the ownership portal are unappealing, and I have found little availability, further adding to my frustration. 1 starMISERABLE. STAY AWAY. GREED RULES THE ****** wife and I deeply regret purchasing a Hyatt resort timeshare. The yearly fees keep increasing - even though we were told that "it will never go beyond 3% to 5% increase per year - our first increase was over 10%!! We are not paying the new maintenance fee/s and are trying to find a way out of this contract. It is very difficult to book anything as they offer those who purchase even MORE points the ability to book further in advance - leaving those who do not continue to do all of the ridiculous 'point upgrades' no ability to get the dates and locations that we want. To boot, they could care less - it's all about getting your money.We feel trapped and want out of this agreement, which has brought us only frustration and regret. Avoid this program at all costs. 1 starWe deeply regret purchasing a Hyatt resort timeshare. What was supposed to be a "90-minute, no-pressure" presentation turned into over five hours of relentless sales tactics. Despite explaining my husbands work schedule, we were assured we could easily exchange our week and use points during his off-season. That turned out to be falsebooking with points is nearly impossible, and the system is confusing and unhelpful.We were also promised ******* hotel points but werent told they would expire in two years, causing us to lose points multiple times. The yearly fees keep increasing, and weve spent more on those than we would on regular vacationswithout the stress of this timeshare.After eight years, this has been nothing but a financial and emotional nightmare. Annual maintenance fees skyrocketed from $1,200 to $1,500, creating significant financial strain. Additional hidden costs emerged, including mandatory $40 housekeeping fees and $100 card holds that felt more like extortion than hospitality. The company's inflexible booking policies directly contradicted the original promises of convenience and flexibility. Aggressive sales pitches consistently pushed unnecessary point purchases, trapping owners into a cycle of increasing expenses. Each interaction revealed a bureaucratic system designed to maximize profit at the expense of customer satisfaction. My experience serves as a ***** warning to potential buyers. Annual fees have more than doubled, while actual usage remains minimal. The timeshare quickly transformed from an appealing investment into a costly burden with restrictive policies and diminishing value. I deeply regret my decision to upgrade with Hyatt ************** My experience began on November 25, 2023, when my husband and I attended a presentation at the Northstar Location in *******, **********. We had been owners for a while but were still confused about how to properly use our timeshare. We explained to the representative, ******* ****, that we only had two hours and that I was breastfeeding my 7-month-old baby, but he assured us the presentation would be quick. Instead, it dragged on, and when my baby needed to be fed, my dad had to bring him to the presentation, only for ******* to continue pushing us to ********** make matters worse, my husband wasnt eligible to be on the contract due to credit issues, so I was the sole person added to the contract, despite feeling pressured into agreeing. We were rushed through the signing process, and I barely had time to review any of the documents.I upgraded thinking it would improve our family vacations, but it has been nothing but disappointment. We tried booking a stay in **** and were told the property was full, only to find out the hotel was almost empty when we arrived. I also upgraded for a trip to ******, expecting great availability, but the only option was a terrible, overpriced unit in ******, *****, which was nothing like what was promised.Hyatt didnt inform us about increasing maintenance fees, and now Im stuck with a financial burden I dont want my son to inherit. After reviewing your purchase documents, it appears that you signed and acknowledged the documents regarding the 10-day rescission period. This period allows you to review your documents after the point of sale and decide whether to move forward with the purchase or cancel it in full to receive a full refund of any payments made. My husband and I are not ones to really post reviews about our experiences, but this is something I feel is necessary to do. I hope that anyone who reads our review will consider twice before doing business with Hyatt Residence Club. These people are great at getting you to purchase timeshare property regardless of you telling them no. We never expected to experience such pressure and coercion at a hotel stay but it happened. What we found strangely odd was during the signing of the paperwork, we were told not to ask questions when signing. I believe it was recorded audio and now we believe they wanted us quiet so that its intentionally recorded that way and look like we never asked questions to begin with and seemed satisfied with the purchase. These people are bad for business and I do not recommend anyone to purchase a timeshare with Hyatt.HV Global Group, Inc.

We have been trying to cancel our Hyatt timeshare for months, but they have ignored all our complaints. This purchase has negatively impacted our familys financial well-being. We pay over $5,000 a year for a timeshare that is rarely available to use. We were promised that our points could be used for other Marriott properties, but we have never been able to book anything beyond our home resort. If we had known the full annual costs, we would have never purchased this timeshare, as regular travel is much cheaper. We are now so financially tied to this timeshare that we cant afford other vacations, causing unnecessary stress and pressure on our family. As a retired single woman, I deeply regret my experience with Hyatt ************* (formerly ***************). What started as a seemingly good investment has turned into a financial nightmare. I initially purchased an every-other-year timeshare plan but was never told I could only book 3 months in advance - making it nearly impossible to actually use my points. When I raised these concerns, they convinced me to buy more points, claiming it would give me better booking access and Platinum Priority status. Instead, I got hit with higher maintenance fees and monthly payments, plus they extended my contract from 10 to 15 years without properly explaining this. They also promised I could sell my points for profit later and that it would be a great inheritance for my boys - but they never mentioned my kids would be stuck with all the payments and yearly dues. The sales team cleverly avoided mentioning these crucial details during their presentations, and now I'm left with rising monthly payments in my retirement years for a timeshare I can barely use. Our experience with Hyatt Residence Club ************************** has been nothing but disappointing. We were lured in with a "free" stay that required attending a high-pressure, 4-hour sales meeting. Despite voicing concerns, we felt coerced into signing. Using the timeshare has been a nightmarelocations are overbooked, housekeeping was nonexistent during stays (12/2022, 6/2022), and maintenance issues were constant. The rising fees are unjustified, and we've found better options like ******* This timeshare has been a financial strain and far from the promises made. Avoid at all costs.HV Global Group, Inc.
