"My City Social completely scammed me. The sales guy talked me into signing a year-long agreement, and then the company proceeded to charge my credit card without my knowledge or consent. Despite spending $20,000, I did not gain a single customer from their services throughout the entire year.To make matters worse, they took control of my website and refused to release it until I paid the balance of the contract. This practice felt like holding my website hostage.Based on this experience, I strongly advise against using My City Social for anything. Their unethical practices and lack of results make them a company to avoid at all costs."Review from Judith M

We are highly disappointed in the amount of attention given to our media sites by My City Social. We have tried on numerous occasions to call and speak with someone only to be disconnected when the call was picked up. We would definitely not recommend My City Social to anyone!Review from Brittany L

Worst experience of my life. this company can sure talk the talk when selling you their services but can not follow through with their promises. First i cancelled my social media with them because every post had errors, looked like a child made it or just didnt showcase my business. After 7 months of website design, it still wasnt completed. Has errors all over the place, and they HAD MY BUSINESS NUMBER WRONG. This caused a huge drop in sales due to their ignorance. I had to start going on the website and fixing things my self as well as creating pages and content. My own marketing rep said this is happening to so many other customers and that she is having to task things out multiple times to get them done. I am still in a battle with them to cancel my contract even though they cannot prove any work has been completed in 90 days. They are now ignoring my calls and emails so i have had to contest my card payments and file a complaint. This company has poor customer service, a huge lack of skills and does not properly train their team. I have sense found a new marking company that in a matter of 3 weeks has done more then My City Social did in 7 months and our sales and traffic are up 120% in that short of time. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ONE PENNY OF YOUR MONEY.Review from Jennifer C

We hired My City Social to boost our online presence. We already had a wonderful website created, we just wanted to rank higher in ****** searches. They promised us the first page of ******, amazing blog posts, lots of leads an sadly they did not follow through with a single thing they promised. We have paid over $8,000 in a year for absolutely nothing. I would love to get my money back. We tried to get out of the contract, but of course we couldn't and then to get out of it you have to send it in writing to their mailing address at least 31 days before renewal or you are automatically renewed again for another year!! That should have been a red flag that this is not a reputable company to work with. If you are dissatisfied with our work in my business then you are free to go, I do not want a client to be with us if they feel they are not getting their money's worth. Shame on you My City Social. We have also trended down in ******, we were sitting at 18 when we hired them, now was are at 40. The only thing they have done is hurt us and take our money. Please beware of this company and do your homework. I would also not believe the positive reviews, they are an SEO company they have lots of contacts and can get positive word out into the internet. Sadly, you cannot even leave a comment on their ****** my business page because they cannot control that, so they have the comments blocked. Buyer Beware!Review from Bernard G

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from your MyCity Social during my one-year contract with them. Unfortunately, my experience with that company was extremely negative, and I feel that I did not receive the level of service that I was promised. Firstly, I was disappointed to learn that MyCity Social is not partner with ********, which means that you were not able to effectively promote my business on social media platforms. As a result, I did not see any significant growth in my following or any increase in sales during the time that I was working with your company. Additionally, I was extremely frustrated to find that I had to fix your posts every time, which suggests that your team was not putting in enough effort or attention to detail. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of your team and speaking directly with the owner, the problem persisted, and the only solution offered was to change the person responsible for my account. However, even after this change, I continued to experience the same problems with the quality of service that I received. Despite communicating my dissatisfaction to your team and expressing that your service was not working, I did not receive any meaningful help or support from your company. This was extremely disappointing, as I had hoped that we could work together to improve the situation. After I terminated my contract with your company, I hired a videographer, and within just one month, I saw a significant increase in my following and sales. This experience has reinforced my belief that your company did not provide the level of service that I was promised and that you were unable to deliver the results that I was looking for. Overall, I would not recommend Mycity Social to other businesses looking for social media marketing services. After 1 year with My City Social, what we learned was that they are not designed/experienced in product based businesses. They sold us a service that they did not understand and set us up for expectations that were far from realistic. If you are an E-commerce based business RUN FOR THE HILLS! They will sell you a "team" experience and having all of these different people working on your account and it's all a smokescreen. It seems they have had success in local service based businesses but online product sales THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING. They took over hosting our website with *********** and completely ruined the entire back end of the site that we are now paying someone else to fix. Then when you share you frustrations with how things are going they stop answering phone calls and emails. At that point we decided to break away from them and they hired a collections company who threatened my employee over the phone with someone coming to our place of business to "make us pay" what we owe. Hire a lawyer and send a cease and desist and that will be the end of it. I would not use this company and hope someone can save themselves a ton of wasted money and headache by reading my review.Review from Maria U

I signed a contract back on 2021 July for my business to do social media post and website. The website took over 5 months. Poorly service I was mostly telling them everything to do like they didn't have any idea what to do. The posting on IG expectations were even worst. Different people took over my account and always asking me the same questions and making cartoonish templates for my energy and protein bar. Reposting my old post me. I was taking all the pics and also given them the content because they didn't study my business. Very persistent to sign a contract and came to my business several times so I set the expectations, my story what I wanted and what I need it. Expectations never met. Charged me months and months for something not even done on their end. Owner told me he would credited me and tried their best again in December and nothing until now my contract is done by July and still not even reached out about this situation. Obviously they don't care and due to signing a contract they make you pay for breaking it. I know more of social me media than them. I have been doing all the posting for ************* and the website doesn't do much for my type of business. Tried to work to lower the fee just to continue with website and they over charged me last month. Not crediting me for anything they haven't done for social media. All the promises made not met. I'm so disappointed ! That's why don't do any contracts with companies like these one. Waste of money specially for small business like mine. What a rip off!!!!!m the worst customer experience I have ver had so far. Companies look for solutions and always doing the right thing. Well not this company and the least to do is to make it right and just do what it was expected. Charging us for months for a service not even provided it's stealing money. I have had the pleasure working with MyCity Social in building my company's website. The team was nice, understanding, patient and most importantly knowledgeable about digital marketing. We came to them initially for just website updates and after analyzing our needs they advised us how our limited resources could be more impactful. I value my relationship with Ariel more than anything else. They've helped me more in my marketing position transition than I could have ever imagined. Our company didn't have great documentation on the marketing campaigns, so when our previous director left abruptly.
