            Reihl's signed a contract on May 30th, 2023 with Closet Outfitters, LLC (Cliff) to build a custom closet. – Paid $2985.30 deposit. We picked out the color White Frozen Wood and were told by Cliff that the color was available (Per Invoice). There was no communication regarding the install until (approximately) the week of August 28th when Cliff called to say there was a delay of approximately 2 weeks (spoke with Ben Reihl). On September 20th, Cliff called to say that the color we picked out wasn’t available (spoke to *** *****). Cliff said he would come by on September 26th in order for us to pick out a new color (not what we ordered or put a deposit on) – a void for the contract? We (******** feel we were lied to by Cliff regarding the available color and the agreement we made for our closet. Henceforth, we agreed (the *******) that we would like to get a refund of our deposit (since we could no longer trust anything Cliff says) and move our separate ways. Cliff came on September 26th and we told him we would like our deposit back as he could not deliver what was promised in the contract. Cliff immediately said that we could not get a refund because it was non-refundable. We (*******) feel that we should be able to get a refund since he could not deliver as promised.

            This company does not manufacture any of the materials that they are selling, but they represent themselves as such.. The product is not under their control and when delay occurs, they do not keep you in the loop. (poor communication) When they install the product they do not add the finish, trim that they manifest in their brochures and pictures, instead at the end of the project they attempt to extort further cash payment to finish the job. The end result is a built -in product with gaps on the floor and walls (poor workmanship) we paid them in good faith the price quoted and now we are being held hostage until we pay them further

            Good evening Dr. ******* and Mrs. *******, We are saddened to have made that impression on you. We strive to do our best in satisfying our customers. We always try our utmost best to keep our customers in the loop by informing them of any event as soon as we find out of any unforeseen events. Unfortunately due to the nature of your Floor there is a small gap. As with building a house the foundations needs to be level all around. We always make sure our product is level and plum to the wall/floor. (As per section 5 of our service agreement).Which is standard in the Industry. Upon discovery of this issue we discussed our offers of purchasing trim and base for such cases as this but upon refusal of acquiring such items it would show with the finished product. Every job is different, If your floor is level you don't have an issue. We strive to give our customers the best quality products at a fair price, some items and specific colors are on backorder due to shortages across the spectrum. This client was a shake down from the get go. They want something for nothing (Don't want to pay).

As a small family owned and operated business we currently cannot physically manufacture in house (as many other big closet companies do not as well). Unfortunately due to the nature of your Floor and walls there is a small gap. We always make sure our product is level and plum to the wall/floor. Upon discovery of this issue we discussed our offers on trim and base for such cases as this but upon refusal of acquiring such items it would show with the finished product.
