I have never been able to use this membership. Closed during covid and then stated past dues balance despite being on hold. They have refused to cancel this membership in person two times. Employees report there is no manager to discuss issue with. I was told I had to send a letter requesting cancellation. I sent letter and they continue to try to charge my account every month and now that have charged another annual fee.Business response

Hello-
Upon reviewing this complaint, *********************** Joined our facilty on 11/10/2022, which was post covid. I do not see any record of her trying to cancel, she did call in on 8/23/2023 and our staff explained her balance to her. Her balance reflects payments that have been returned back from her bank due to insufficient funds. This balance is $208.26. This balance must be paid before cancellation.
Per her membership agreement the cancellation policy is as follows:
To cancel your monthly membership and stop the billing of the Monthly Membership Fee on the 17th of the month, the club requires written notification by the 10th of the month delivered to the club in person or mail to the club address listed below. In order to cancel your membership prior to the billing of the Annual Membership Fee, the club requires written notice as described above on or before the 25th of the previous month. The Annual Membership Fee is fully earned when received and is non-refundable.
