On may 7th I received an expensive high quality spotting scope I purchased from visions electronics marketed as new. The item arrived improperly packaged and damaged. I followed the process to initiate a replacement including sending photos all within the specified timeframe. Its been a week now and still no responses. I also called seven times during business hours and waited on hold for 25 minutes each time to be told no one is available and hung up on. There are no other options to contact the company and now I am worried I paid a lot of money for a damaged product with no recourse.Initial Complaint

I had purchased a radar detector on a boxing day special and had purchased my five-year extended warranty. I have attempted to get a repair done on my faulty unit and visions sent out for repair. I now receive information that the unit is unrepairable. Only to offer me an in Store credit. By following the provided details in my extended warranty contract it states that .a). Should the purchased product require multiple like repairs during the Visions *** coverage period, or the product is not economical to repair, Visions may, at their discretion provide the Customer with a new similar unit at no charge to the customer. ******************** will attempt to replace the original product with the same brand but reserves the right to substitute brands when necessary. The *** and Visions Electronics liability under the **************** Plan ends upon replacement of the product.Visionss has a like kind similar unit available. Similar in function and retail price from the original unit. The only place in the warranty contract that states I will be provided an in-store credit says this For "open-box, demo items, and items where a comparable replacement item is not available, Visions Electronics may, at their discretion, issue a credit in the amount of the original purchase price, (less 30% depreciation for the first year/partial year, and 15% depreciation for every subsequent year/partial year) and the unused portion of the ***, instead of providing replacement product.I do not have an open box. I do not have a demo item. But there is a comparable unit available. I did not purchase an extended warranty to ensure an inshore credit. It was for the insurance of a working product. I am in confident belief that I follow under all the warranty guidelines for a replaced unit. I would also like to mention that visions had refused to give me my original product back as I was dissatisfied with the outcome and would have rather had my broken unit then an instore credit.
