After waiting months for the fence to be installed we were not happy with the location of the double gate. Although it was placed where we thought it should go, no one explained that you don't install the gate on a hill since the two sides won't match up. Also the caps for the end posts were not delivered with fence. We called High Steel to let them know that we were not happy with the fence. After many calls they sent someone out to check it. We were told the way the gate was situated it was not to code as there was more than 4 inches of space between the fence and ground. After numerous other calls we were told that they would make the changes but there would be an additional $1100.00 charge. I refused to pay any additional money and many calls later they said there would be no charge. Well it has been four months and we are still not scheduled. The owner is never in the office and never returns calls. I am convinced that if I had not STUPIDLY paid the balance this would have been taken care of within the week!! Just as an aside the original order called for 28 feet of fencing that was not used because we had to make a last minute change to the size due to HOA regulations. there was no adjustment to the bill.

I am sorry to hear about your unpleasantries with us at HighSteele Fencing regarding your recent fence install. Just to touch on the fact in regards to the gate, we did in fact already move it one time prior to install, as per your husband's agreement. We did offer to come and move it at an additional cost once it was installed, to which you declined. We do in fact still have you on our list for repair work since it was agreed upon to make this change at no cost with the understanding that it would be completed when there is a break in our schedule for repair work and work orders. As far as the caps go, with the aluminum market being volatile and vendor shortages, we are still waiting for those caps to arrive. There is absolutely no malicious intent behind these actions. Please be patient with us in these times. Thank you.

I am happy to say the fence company was here today although nobody informed us they would be here. They were able to fix the gate problem without moving it, they brought the caps and were able to tie up all the loose ends to my satisfaction. The crew were very accommodating and helpful.
