Contacted A-Best Air and Heat in June 2022 for a quote to install a mini-split A/C unit then responded and July we gave them a check for $500 and signed the contract. On 8/26/2022 the installer set up the unit and said he would be back the next day to finish installing the drain line and a cover for the outside coolant lines. Believing the installation was essentially complete I gave him the check for the remainder of the contract ($2650). On 8/31/2022 I was told the installer had been terminated and the coolant line cover was on back order. Since that time I only get the answering machine when I call. My phone call log indicates outgoing calls of less than 1 minute for 9/2, 9/6, 9/13, 9/26, 10/3, 10/17, and 10/25. There has been no response for any of these. Work remaining is route the drain line so water doesn't drip from the indoor unit, cover the outdoor cooling lines, and bolt the outdoor unit to the pad.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/27) */ We have advised Mr******** the line cover part is on back order and we cannot complete the job without that piece, Due to supply houses being short on shipment supplies. His a/c is working and cooling properly so it is a non emergency fix and we are short staffed. We have him on the schedule for later next week to get the issues fixed once line cover arrives. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/10/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Yesterday (Oct. 27) A-Best called and scheduled a installer in the afternoon. He fixed the condensate drain problem, bolted down the outside unit, installed the line cover, verified the unit wasn't cooling due to low charge and recharged the unit. He attempted to locate why the unit had lost its charge in less than 3 months with a through inspection but could not locate a leak.
