From the beginning he left me his card stating he was licensed and insured. We found out later he was not by other people that hired him and they had filed a complaints against him. Midway through our construction Andrew M****** stopped all work and left job with all wiring hidden and job very incomplete and refused to return unless we agreed to his increased total of an additional $2,000 more for upgrades and to be paid in full prior to completing the job. Reluctantly we agreed even though we knew his new total was grossly inflated and totally unwarranted. In short he had us caught between a rock and a hard spot spot, and we felt as though he did this purposely and by design. After agreeing to the new sum and his promises we paid in full prior to us going away on vacation, only to return to find the work incomplete and unsatisfactory. After numerous attempts to contact him, on February 7, 2023 he replied and said he would return to finish and make it right. As of today April 13th 2023 Andrew he has never replied or returned any of our numerous texts, or phone messages. My husband and I were forced to complete some of the repairs which included painting the trim and rewiring the ceiling fans that were wired incorrectly. He also never installed the 2 special dimmer switches that was part of the inflated increase. Additionally, he left our place a mess an in an unacceptable conditions that he assured us would be cleaned up because that’s what they are noted for!

We hired Andrew M****** of custom quality construction who Stated he was a licensed contractor. He wasn't licensed, he damaged our AC unit while replacing siding on our home. He refused to pay for the damage. We have an invoice from the AC company stating he put a nail through the electrical wiring. He also wired the ground incorrectly. He was hired to replace siding, he damaged the disconnect housing on the ac unit and attempted to replace it. He required 1/2 down which we paid. He refused to finish the job, refused to pay for repairs on the AC unit. He kept our money and kept the materials. He's a poor handyman. I do not recommend him.

We hired Custom Quality Construction to renovate our two bathrooms. They quoted us $10,200 and 10-14 days for the completion of both projects. They required a $5500 deposit before starting the project, an extra $361 for a plumber and upgraded tile and then requested another $2,000 early since it “was Christmas”. All payments were made through zelle. They said the master bathroom was completed on December 30 (2 weeks behind the scheduled completion of both bathrooms), however the master bathroom had a leaky toilet and shower and they did not come fix that. They did not complete either bathroom and due to the issues and delays we encountered while they worked on the master bathroom, we did not feel comfortable having them renovate the second bathroom. We requested our advanced payment of $2,000 back and they refused. They did not complete the scope of work as described in our contract and we want our $2,000 advanced payment back since we had to fix the problems they left in the master bathroom.

We agreed to do 2 bathrooms for 10,200.00...master bath being 8500.00,and guest shower was 1700.00

We we given a deposit of 5500.00 and anther draw of 2000.00

Client had existing plumbing problems which required a plumber which we paid for the first time. The toilet did leak because of faulty rubber grommets, which we had the parts to fix the toilet ,the shower faucet on need a set screw tightened, which we were fully prepared to repair once clients returned home from a trip.we were told not to come fix the minor issues even though we told the customer we were doing so. The bathroom was completely finished with many upgrades we did not charge for in order to please the customers. We feel the complaint is unfair and very un reasonable...we would be willing to compensate customer 500.00 for inconvenience. Customer did not pay full price of master bath remodel and therefore we feel 2000.00 is unreasonable ,especially considering all work performed

      Complaint* ********

I am rejecting this response because: Our contract for both bathrooms was $10,200, and there was no separation in the cost of each bathroom. Per texts with Andrew on Dec 7, 2022 (text attached) the cost of the master bathroom was only $5,000. Now they are claiming the cost was $8,500.

We also paid an additional $361.50 on 12/9 for upgraded tiles as well as half the cost of the plumber they had to call for the existing plumbing issues with the shower they were unable to fix.  We also paid out of pocket for a second emergency plumber that they had to call for a separate issue with the toilet.

If they knew that there were “minor issues” with the leaking toilet and tub after they supposedly completed the master bath, why would they leave those items unfixed? We returned home after a trip and were unable to use the bathroom because of these issues. We had to call an emergency plumber in to repair these as Andrew and Sherri were unavailable and we assumed they could not fix these issues or else they would’ve done so while we were away.

Our bathroom remodel was not complete by the company due to issues stated above and we had to hire another company to complete the job so we are requesting our advance of $2,000 back. This was an advance on the final payment for completion of both bathrooms, given out of good will at their request because it was the holidays.

This is not unreasonable as the job was not completed per the contract terms.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****
