Mast Electric agreed and proceeded to perform work at our residence. The work included both rough in and finish work. Workers were sent to our house on 5 different occasions to perform the work. Some work was completed, and other work was not. We had requested an outlet be installed in our master bath to service a bidet we were having installed. We told the owner, **********************, that service to this outlet should not be combined with the feed that services another appliance in our garage. When we were ready to have the work completed, we contacted Mast Electric to schedule a time to finish the job. They stated they would not be able to come out for at least a month and we should find another contractor to finish the work. When we proceeded to finish the work ourselves we realized that Mast Electric had indeed wired the outlet on the same feed as the other appliance. We immediately contacted Mast Electric to correct the problem. After conversing with *****************************, President of Mast Electric, he stated he would send a tech the next day to correct the problem. No tech was ever sent and Mast Electric is not responding to our emails or calls. We paid Mast Electric for services rendered and for materials. Some of the materials billed were never installed or provided although we had anticipated they would be when the job was completed.Business response

Good Afternoon,
Mast electric was called to the Sickle residence to perform work on a time and material basis. The ******* asked for a outlet to be added in their restroom for a bidet with a list of other electrical work to be performed. When the technician was on the project the ******* did not have a bidet picked out for their restroom. There were no cut sheets due to the fact there was no bidet chosen at this time. The outlet was provided off the master restroom homerun circuit. This is the original circuit from the panel which is supposed to be a designated circuit for the master bathroom including restroom devices under 2000watts. This job was completed and invoice payment received in June.
Upon receiving telephone call from the ******* after completion and payment received requesting Mast Electric provide a solution for free, they were informed we would not be returning to the residence . We learned during those phone calls that the device they were referring was a garage refrigerator. As adding a garage refrigerator to a master bathroom circuit would not be an approved install per national electrical code, thus did not warrant tracing of existing wiring investigation at time of outlet install. There was never a conversation with Mast Electric on any level about existing circuitry. When the ******* called me with the concerned they felt that Mast Electric needed to provided a solution for free, I informed them they were never charged for the tasks of separating circuits as per the original invoice and Mast Electric would not be coming out to perform the work.
In the attached invoice on line 24 states Mast Electric provided an outlet for the bidet there was no rewiring involved. There was no tracing of 30 year old existing electrical. Materials billed were for that which was installed at time of service, no contract exists for future work nor for original project as it was a time and material basis. I have attached the invoices involved with this job.
This install was performed 95 days ago.

I am rejecting this response because: the response is not accurate or truthful. The first attachment clearly shows we did in fact have a Neorest Toilet/Bidet on order almost a month before Mast Electric Began their work. The bidet was ordered 5/17/22. Work by Mast Electric began 6/13/22 and continued on for four more visits, the last being 6/17/22. The hours and dates are shown in Mast Electric's attachment in their initial response. The last page of the Neorest attachment shows the specification page that was printed online so we would know the installation requirements and locations of both the plumbing and electric required for the Neorest bidet. We actually picked up the bidet on 6/15/22 so not only did we have a bidet on order but had taken possession of the bidet and had it at the house prior to Mast Electric completing that portion of their work. Mast Electric's response stating we did not have a bidet picked out is incorrect. We did have conversation and requested that the bidet outlet not be combined on the same circuit that included an outlet in the garage that serviced our garage refrigerator. This request was conveyed verbally to Mast Electric by both my wife and me. We paid for the outlet to be installed per our request and had all of the specification information needed by Mast Electric to do so. We do not expect to pay Mast Electric to correct their mistake.
I have also included the materials invoice sent by Mast Electric and paid for by us in anticipation of Mast Electric completing the job. Yes, the job was to be billed at time and materials, but it was also supposed to be finished, not leaving us with bare rough in wires laying in the switch boxes and hanging out of the wall. The only completed connections finished in the bathroom (i.e., a switch or receptacle installed) was one switch governing outside patio lights and the **** outlet that was for the bidet. When other unrelated work in the bath had been completed, we contacted Mast Electric to finish installing the other switches and outlets in the bath (some that we had already paid for). They (*****) told us to find another contractor to finish the job. We went out and purchased the needed outlets and switches from K&M electric (invoices in the third attachment) and prepared to install those ourselves. That is when we realized the bidet outlet had not been installed per our request. On the labor invoice Mast Electric attached, you will see they stated they "-Provided new switches and switch box. ... Provided two GFI outlets (one in the vanity cabinet and one above the backsplash ...Relocated switch and outlet". The rough in wiring was done for this work but the switches and outlets never installed. Per the material Invoice from Mast Electric, they billed us, and we paid for (5) 15A dbl combo switches, (3) 150W LED diva dimmers, and (2) 150W LAED contour dimmers. Mast Electric installed only 2 combo switches in the foyer switch box. Two more were supposed to be installed in the bathroom but were not. We were billed for a 5th switch that had no home. Mast Electric did install 4 dimmer switches: two in the foyer switch box, one in the dining room, and one in a sitting area in the family room. The 5th dimmer appears to be another over bill. I do not understand all of the other materials billed so am uncertain whether they were actually used on the job or not.
We are adamant in our request that Mast Electric correct the connection for the bidet outlet, reimburse us for what we paid K&M Electric for the items that we had already paid Mast Electric for, and reimburse us for the items that were overbilled.
Sincerely,
*********************

I am rejecting this response because: Mast Electric is unwilling to correct the service and reimburse us for the material overcharges. Mast Electric statements have proven inaccurate and evidently, they feel it is OK to cheat a customer.
Sincerely,
