Encompass Enclosures was hired by me in May of 2021 to extend the lanai on my residence at ** ******* *** **** ****** ** After only 17 months, I noticed two cracks in the cement floor which run the length of the concrete that was laid down by Encompass Enclosure subcontractor. I notified **** ***** of the situation a month ago. He asked me to send photos, which I did and have not heard back from him at all. From the very beginning of this project **** has shown an unprofessional attitude toward my project. He thought it was not necessary to come and view the site where the lanai was to be extended. This decision cost the project 3 weeks when the equipment arrived months later and found they could not get to the site because the equipment was too big and the access too small. After the job was completed and we had the first big rain, my new lanai flooded because there were no weep holes. When I called him to come over, he tried to say it was my fault because I had the floor painted. He tried to say he would not take responsibility if he drilled the weep holes. Now the concrete slab is cracked after only 17 months and he is showing the same indifference that he always shows. He had an attitude when I asked for the garbage left by his workers be removed. There were boards with nails sticking out. It took days before someone came. I paid $9,000 for this job which may be chump change to **** but I am a widow and this project was so that my family could come and enjoy their visits. I asked **** ***** to give me the name of the construction company and I would deal with them directly but he has ignored my request. Please do something to help me get the floor repaired as it should not be in this condition after only 17 months. I will forward photos and communications with **** in a second email to you.
