Mr James F. from Shades Tree Service has come to offer to cut and trim some trees on 14 August 2021. He gave me an estimate of $1700 and wanted 50% down. I usually don't pay ahead but since he worked for me once before I gave him the check for $850. He said he will be there the next day, but he never showed up. I have called him many times and he showed up 3 weeks later on 4 September. He cut 2 small branches off a tree and 2 palm branches. He told me that as his trailer is full he can not take the cut branches but he will show up and get them in a few days. He never came to pick them up. I had to cut the branches into smaller pieces and put them to trash and my grass cutting guys took the rest. I have called James numerous times and he said he continued stating he would come and he never has. At this point I would like him to return $800 of that down payment as he did $50 worth of work with those branches. I do not want him to work for me with this way of customer treatment.Business response

We had some delays due to rain and broken equipment and vehicles but are looking to finish the job. I am requesting a resolution of a partial refund of 800 so that he can keep 50 for partially cutting one of my tress and leaving the limbs for me to discard.
