Bay Cabinets and Millworks, and namely their owner - Dave Young - is a con man. Will take your money, sign a contract and never fulfill. It seems the only way to get your money back from him is to involve the law. For years, you can look back and see, that the story is all the same. "It's on the way" "my secretary lost the check" "we're sending it this week" And recently, it seems - he's been participating in "stolen valor" and telling people he's in the US National Guard, erroneously, to some how buy him sympathy and time.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I did the legwork & handed them what I wanted. All the measurements and cabinet sizes were somewhere else on a program. When he finally actually came to do his measurements, he did a drawing that wasn’t even what I asked for. Then zero communication. You always had to call them and they would say oh, I was just getting ready to call you. My quote/design included all my cabinets, my countertop and my sink with the island. I was told 2 to 3 weeks for the cabinets and then two more weeks after that the countertop. After numerous excuses, a couple of months later, they finally put in my cabinets. And then he didn’t put them in the way the it was designed. He then asked if I was supplying the sink or they were. I told him that part of the quote was a white 60/40 sink that they were providing. He said he should be back out the next week to finish up. That turned into three weeks. When they showed up to do the tops & the sink, he damaged my sheet rock in 2 places, didn’t put a finished edge on the bottom front corner of the island, and installed the wrong sink. He put in a 50-50. I am so glad to have my kitchen back. It is most of what I wanted and I am gonna accept it and just move on. This has been a nightmare. Now, anytime they do work they expect payment that second. as soon as he finished the cabinet tops they sent me the 3rd and final invoice. I did ask if I could split the final payment into two payments. One within 48 hours for the majority of it with the tiny remaining bit the following Friday. It had not even been 48 hours and they were already calling me on the phone to ask where their money was. This company is not managed very well. honestly if this is the way they do business I don’t see how they have survived. And they were definitely more expensive. After the fact, a company told me they could have done a granite countertop for a tiny bit more than what I paid for the Formica. . Bay cabinets told me 4000 more.

Paid a high deposit to have book shelves manufactured and installed. Bay Cabinets took the money, did not install anything and failed to refund the deposit monies. Multiple phone calls and emails to owner who always promised a refund was "in the mail".
