    I wish I had trusted my instincts and researched more. We recently vacationed in Panama City and set up photos with Laura. Her self promotion, awards, and marketing are excellent, hence ignoring my reservations in my correspondence with her. Her website FAQ is VERY specific which tells me she has had issues in the past and wants to be clear. I appreciate that and am good with setting expectations. She may excel at "action" shots with children but not what we wanted, unfortunately I assumed group shots would be easy for a professional photographer. We photographed in the assigned time slot which was 6:15pm. I trusted her with setting the ideal time and her ability to navigate the photograph setting. The sun was still incredibly bright and glaring hence a lot of squinting, and light glare in the photos. We ended up with $600 dollars worth of images with shadowing and sun glare; nothing I would frame or put on a wall. I asked her about editing the photos. Laura said she would never over-edit and it was simply because I "don't like my own face, which is something [she] cannot be held responsible for". Yes, that is an exact quote. I simply asked her to follow the guarantee on her website, " I will take beautiful photographs of you and your family and you will love them. You will pay me to do this. If you are unhappy with my work, I will do everything reasonably in my power to make sure you end up a satisfied customer." She did not offer any resolutions but did immediately offer a page of defensive responses in an attempt to justify her work. I had simply asked for edits to correct the small issues. Her professionalism doesn't extend past showing up to take the photos and REQUIRING CASH, no cash app so you have a record of payment, just cash for the final payment of $300. I found that interesting too. I have taken the time to write this review to warn others. I wish I had seen an honest review of her professionalism when things don't go as expected.

    Mrs. ****** contracted me on 6/28/22 to photograph her family on 7/27/22 consisting of 8 adults. She wanted a 30 minute session at a local beach.

    There was minimal return correspondence with Mrs. ****** leading up to our session. She received all of my automated emails with tips to make the most of our session, PDF guides on what to expect, what to wear (avoid white since it acts as a natural reflector of light), how to handle wind, etc. Her group then showed up wearing white and complaining about the wind on the beach.

    Sunset would be approximately 7:30pm at this time of year, so a session beginning at 6:15pm is consistent with everything on my website and all social media handles. The sun was BEHIND her group at all points during our session. There was no squinting in any images.

    She was provided with 54 final edited images within 5 days of our session (I promise them within 7 days), which she immediately downloaded from her gallery upon receipt on 8/2/22.

    She immediately started complaining about her son's hair in the final images on 8/3/22 and I explained that it was near impossible for me to remove hair off his forehead while maintaining the integrity of the original image.

    She then sent me screenshots of her own face zoomed in and pointing to her wrinkles and asked me to remove them. I explained that if she read my FAQ's, she would see where I state I do NOT offer this specific service (and my explanations as to WHY), but that if she was insistent, we could provide extensive editing for an additional fee.

    Also, according to my EXIF data on her images, we began our contracted 30 minute session a few minutes early and ended several minutes late, as Mrs. ****** wanted several extra shots while we were there, including head shots for her own business. This did cause me to be late for my next session, but in an effort to provide a complete service, I chose not to enforce the clause of my contract (that she agreed to) or charge her extra for this time.

    Mrs. ****** was simply having a case of buyer's remorse after returning home from vacation and to be quite honest, photographer's are an easy target to try and recoup some funds. I provided exactly what Mrs. ****** contracted for and delivered MORE images than I promise in a FASTER time frame than I promise.

    Not going to waste the time with a response to her excuses. As you can see this is typical of Laura Jennings work.
    Happy to show the photos with sun in our face, and shadowing reflecting the sun was NOT behind us as she stated. The sun position greatly impacted the photo images. Happy to share photos if someone would like to see what they would be getting at the 6:15 time slot. I tried to put a photo in the comment box but it wouldn't let me. I wish I had seen the reviews on her professionalism before I hired her. Lesson learned and hopefully this will save someone from wasting their money and time.
