It was horrible experience with doctor ******* office. Six months waisting my time to get service, which became to outraged end. Last November I got referral from y dental office to doctor ******* to do one crown on my old implant and after that two more implants and crowns. The office got restriction rules apply online and waiting 3 months to get there. I applied and my current dentist sent the all info regarding my need. Finally on Feb 20, I got appointment there, but I realize it was a mess from the beginning.I apply do crown first, then do my implants. But, I got another doctor who does implants only, he was nice, after XR he quote me a price on implant and left. then doctor ******* came checked my implant and quote me the price for crown, sent me back to office to receive treatment plan.I receive plan with total price for crown $1,253.00 and for implants. Then I got call right before came back to office, lady stated to bring $2,100.00 for first job.Which is confused me, I said have a treatment plan from office with signature and office stamp, where the price 2 times cheaper, but Lindsey started accusing me with wrong statement, told me they never run this price, called me back several times and brought different stories. Then doctor call me , his voice showed me he is mad on me, with his smile,5 times he hand up on me then called back said the phone works badly.Told me every time different stories, crying for, do his job he need buy a new expensive tools and more,... Another words total BS.Stated he will do for this price only one crown, then called back again and said got no info from my previous dentist which implant I have and refuse to do service. After 6 moths waiting I receive American Greedy doctor ******* office. I told them I am not a crazy and if you quote me from the beginning same price, then will be not a problem. I hope my review will help all people, who can also get ripped off at this office. In case I still have treatment plan papers available.

Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center of Panama City Response

Our office is multispecialty.  We have 2 full time oral and maxillofacial surgeons and 1 full time prosthodontist.  I would like to respond to the above review on a point by point basis.

    1.  6 months to get an appointment -  Most new patients can be seen within 3 months for the oral surgeons and approximately 4-6 weeks for the prosthodontist (Dr. ******** from their initial phone call.  The patient initially scheduled an appointment on November 17th.  Our first available consultation visit with one of our oral surgeons was on February 20th.  (Approximately 3 months from the phone call).

    2.  All new patients have to register with the office (just like any other office) with demographic, insurance information, contact information, health history.  This is not an "application" to be a patient.  This is also not abnormal in any way.

    3.  Patient was seen for consultation by surgeon Dr. ******* on February 20.  He asked about his existing implant as well and we were able to accomodate him by having Dr. ******* *ee him at this same appointment.  Patient was given 2 separate treatment plans.  One for the surgery part and one for the implant crown.  The fees that were originally given to the patient for the implant crown were incorrect as Dr. ******* is not a provider for the patient's insurance plan.  This was a mistake by our office.  When the corrected fees were given to the patient, he became very angry.  It was explained that Dr. ******* is not a provider for the insurance plan that the patient has again.  The other issue is that we did not have any information of the brand and size of the already existing implant that the patient requested Dr. ******* to restore.  Multiple attempts (4) were made to the patient's previous dentist to get this information and we never heard back.  This is important due to the fact that without the implant brand and size, Dr. ******* does not know which parts are needed to restore with a crown.  As such, knowledge of the cost of the necessary parts cannot be known.

    4.  Dr. ******* did not hang up and call the patient back 5 times.  He did not hangup at all.  It is possible that there was a bad connection.

The bottom line is that the patient was unhappy with the price changing from an incorrect fee to Dr. ********* correct fee.  When patient became rude and agitaged, Dr. ******* determined that in order to try to appease him that he would do the procedure for him at the previously quoted (incorrect) fees.  An appointment was offered to come in to see Dr. ******* but the patient declined.  The patient stated he never wants us to contact him again.

Attempts were made to assuage this patient but to no avail.  We wish the patient the best as he seeks care with another provider.
