BEWARE!!! Total scammer!!! Do an internet search for "Joel ****** Illinois". Convicted felon that did over 2 years in prison for shady plumbing practices in Chicago suburbs preying on elderly people & people needing warranty work done. Joel ******, (who changes his name to "Joe" & drops one "l" from his last name to keep people from finding him online) asks for the money up front, then subs the work out to inexperienced people. After 90 days of waiting for our shower to get finished, this guy still refused to finish the job. He then intentionally damages parts to add to the bill. His invoice promises line items that he doesn't intend on delivering on. I have several voice recordings promising that he will be at our home the same or next day only to have another no-show. This project was started on 2/28/24. Today is 5/28/24 & he told me today he refused to finish our shower & repay my balance that we agreed on because I've "asked too many times". This is a cut-rate grifter that moved to Florida to do projects for cash without pulling permits. He says he's licensed. He hires guys that have contacted me asking for side jobs because he doesn't pay them. He also started tearing-up our bathroom before we agreed on the project terms. I went to work & he came over when my wife was home alone & just stared with tile demolition on our bathroom wall!!! He hired 2 guys from Honduras that can't speak English & had no tile experience to do our tile work!!! The actual plumbing work is done with guys that have facial tattoos & look "spun-out". Then he asks YOU, the customer, to supply your own plumbing parts to keep the job going. Avoid at all costs! It will cost you a lot more money in the long run after being lied to by Joel ******!!! Worst professional experience of my entire life!!! I'm going to be telling people about my experience with this grifter for the rest of my life. Problem is, some of the incidents are so crazy that people can't believe it!!!
