The worst emergency room experience of my life!! Stay away from this hospital. I took my dad with a concussion and a deep open wound that definitely needed stitches. I notified the head nurse that my dad was feeling light headed and had a strong headache and none of the nurses rushed to attend him. After more than 2 hours of waiting without them even touching my dad's head we had to leave to a different hospital. Believe me, if I could give this hospital negative starts I would. Don't waste your time going to Memorial in ******** and University.

I want to warn people and recommend they find service elsewhere, if they don't want to be hit with a ridiculous charge. I will not be returning to this location, EVER! Had the misfortune of recently getting sick and visiting the supposed "24/7 urgent care facility" of Memorial. My first visit was on 6/9/22, where I was seen and tested for both influenza and SARS (Covid). At this visit I was not charged; however, not feeling well after a week of taking what the initial dr *** I revisited the center on 6/17/22. During my visit I was waiting to be tested for strep throat when a representative walks in to complete my registration and informs me that I have a $500 co-pay for the visit! I nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard this, and when I inquired why the charge, rep stated that the center was now charging as an ER. Mind you, this information is not posted at the entrance of the building, it is NOT disclosed when checking in at the lobby, nor have I ever received written notice advising of such a change. Had I been informed, I would've found medical attention elsewhere. People are struggling to make ends meet, and this is wrong on many levels. I was blindsided and reluctantly paid, when I should've walked out and rejected the charge. I regret not standing up and fighting it, but I was feeling ill and had no energy to fight this battle. You've been warned. Stay clear of Memorial 24/7 on *******.
