9/22/2021 $1415.60 Bought remaned transfercase was told by their worker (autozone) 1 year warranty started once I picked up the part. Because it had to be speacial ordered I had to wait a week to two weeks to pick up as it was being shipped to the store. Fast forward Transfercase is not working properly. Contacted autozone two weeks ago to see how to go about utilizing the warranty. Young lady said she would get back to me to my name and number because she couldnt find the purchase on my account. She was busy with customers in store. Never recieved a call back life moves on so I call 9/23/2022 to the "Corporate number" provided from the 866 autozone number. Due to no call back and unable to go to store directly. I wanted to try and get this taken care of. The woman that answered took my phone number chuckled and stated my warranty ended on 9/22/2022. I explained how can warranty be over when it was one to two weeks after purchase that I physically recieved the product from them due to speacial order delivered to their store. She just restated it ended 9/22/2022. I then made a few more calls tried district manager number no answer no vm. Also had the 866 number reach out to that managers boss. Even called and spoke to the assistant manager at the location. Who said warranty starts on purchase date and sorry employee told me that. That the employee said that because usually when ordering parts to arrive you do not have to prepay. So once part is in you pay at that time and warranty starts that date. But because I had a special order and required to prepay warranty started the day I paid. But how do I recieve a 1 year warranty that starts before I even recieve any equipment? Especially when I was told it starts once picked up.Business response
