  On 11/13/21 I contracted with Mr. ***** to pour a concrete patio and partial driveway. He arrived and put down footing for the concrete. I had to have him correct the footing work because measurements were not correct. He corrected the measurements and poured the concrete. At this time, he had no problems accessing the property through my privacy fence gate. After completion of the work, I noticed the walkway from the driveway to the patio was not correct. The walkway is wide at the beginning then narrows in the center and then widens at the end, due to old broken forms. he said he would fix that by pouring Sakrete on one side to repair that. He never did. Then on 1/9/22 I contracted for him to pour additional patio and driveway areas. This time when grading and forming Mr. ***** put all of the grading materials on my neighbor's yard covering his lawn and sprinkler system. I asked him to remove the debris. He said he did not have the equipment to accomplish this, therefore I had to remove the debris form my neighbor's yard. (I am also handicapped) After completing the pouring of the concrete I paid Mr. ****** When I came home, I noticed he had broken the gate to my new privacy fence, he dumped a very large pile of leftover concrete in my backyard, large black tire treads on the new concrete, there are cracks in the concrete already and I don't believe the second portion was poured correctly. I have spoken to him about this numerous times. He claims that a lot of this is my fault and has promised to meet with me at several appointed times and he never shows up. He is a very fast talker, never listens, and any mistakes made are not his fault. I am sorry that I spent over $ 7,000.00 with Mr. ***** and have this result. Fast talker BEWARE!

I POURED TO MORE PROJECTS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREETS FROM HIS HOUSE AND THERE VERY BIG ONES AND THE'RE SUPER HAPPY, I FULLIED EVERY BIT OF THE WORK FOR MR. ****** IN A TIMLEY MANNER AND FASHION, THE FIRST POUR I DID FOR MR. ****** HE WAS SUPER HAPPY , MR. ****** CALLED ME BACK AFTER ADMITTING THAT I WAS CORRECT ABOUT HIM EXSTENDING THE PATIO AND PARKING PAD, THE SECOND PAD I POURED I PULLED MEASUREMENT ON TO SHOW HIM THAT IT WAS SQUARE ME AND MY GUY, AND THE WALK WAY IS PERFECT, WHY WOULD I NEED SACK CRETE WHEN WE POURED CONCRETE FROM THE PLANT AND FINISHED IT, FOR ONE HIS BACK WARD IS REAL CLUTERED WITH A BUNCH OF JUNK EVERYWHERE, FUNERAL HOME FLOWER POTS THAT HAS NOTHING IN THEM AND DOG POO ALL OVER THE BACK YARD WE'RE YOU HAVE TO WORK AND THE BACK OF THE HOUSE IS OUT OF SQUARE IN WHICH I BROUGHT TO HIS ATTENTIOM AND PULLED A MEASUREMENT ON IN FRONT OF HIM, AND THE GATE HE IS SPEAKING ON IN WHICH GATE CONTRACTOR HE AND OTHERS HIRED ,STATED THAT THE GATE CONTRACTOR DID EVERY GATE THAT THE CONTRACTOR DID WAS INCORRECT, I HAD TO USE MY GEORGIA BUGGY THE FIRST AND LAST POUR TO GET THE CONCRETE TO THE BACK OF THE HOUSE AND THE WIDTH OF THE GATE OPENING WAS ONLY 3 FEET AND CODE IS 4 FEET SO THAT YOU CAN GET MACHINERY THROUGH IT, MR. ******* BACK WARD WAS A WRECK AS FOR AS THE UP KEEP GOES BEFORE WE STARTED WITH UNSANITERY CONDITION,S IN WHICH I TOOK PICTURES OF AND I NEVER PUT ANYTHING IN HIS NEIGHBOR YARD AND ON MY BBB PROFILE MY CUSTOMERS COMMENTS ATTEST TO THAT, AND WHEN THE CONCRETE TRUCK FINISH POURING OUT THEY HAVE TO WAS OUT THE SHOOT, BUT ME AND MY GUTS PUT A LARGE TARP DOWN ON THE GROUND AND PLACED THE LITTLE AMOUNT OF CONCRETE ON IT AND CAME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY WITH MY TRAILER AND HAULED IT OFF, I STATED TO AND POINTED OUT TO MR. ****** ON THE LITTLE DAMAGE THE GATE RECIEVED DUE TO ME HAVING TO MANAUVER MY MACHIENE THROUGH THE NARROW OPENING, MR.****** IS DELUSSIONAL, BECAUSE HIS NEIGHBOR'S IS EXTREMLY HAPPY WITH THEIR BIG JOB'S I DID, YES I WILL FIX THE HINGE THAT MR. ****** TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF ,DUE TO THE GATE BEING SO NARROW,AT THE END OF THE DAY I HAVE PICTURES OF THE JOB WE'RE IT WA DID NEAT AND CLEAN , I PUT PLASTIC AROUND OVER THE BRICK WALL AND AND THE METAL POLLS ON YHE PATIO SO NO CONCRETE WOULD GET ON THEM AND HE THANK ME FOR IT, I'AM VERY HONEST, NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL IN EVERYWAY, WHO PRIDES HIMSELF ON CUSTOMER SATIA TION, SINCERLY TONY ***** Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/03/31) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) My response to Mr. ***** is going to state the true and actual facts about the work done at my residence. As of March 31, 2022 Mr. ***** has not been to my residence to correct any of the issues mentioned in my complaint. The photos I supplied to the BBB will reflect the poor quality of his work .My neighbor and witnesses can confirm he left rocks and soil in my neighbors yard covering his sprinkler, which I had to remove. As shown in the photos, the fence is exactly 3 feet 9 inches wide, he had no issues entering the property with the first pouring. The walkway entering the back yard is 44 inches wide, middle is 27 inches and the end of it is 35 inches wide. The small amount of concrete that he claims he left in my back yard is still there. The fact is the 5 foot by six foot leftover concrete is still in my backyard, there is not a tarp under it but some weed barrier that belongs to me. Also the concrete has cracks in it and it puddles water when it rains. As far as the issues that did not apply to his work ability was empty flower pots with nothing in them, yes the are there and flowers don't grow in the middle of winter. The junk he referenced was left over debris from having a large deck removed for the patio and is still being done. Yes I have two little dogs. The only equipment I have seen of Special Design Concrete was a old truck and a couple of concrete tools. I had to deal with the concrete company myself and pay for their services separately. As far as his reviews they have nothing to do with the work done at my residence. I welcome anyone to my residence to see the work that was done. He is truly not trustworthy according to his response to the BBB, he is a LIAR and FAST TALKER. Being the concrete was not poured correctly, when it rains water comes in my back garage door. I have brought this to Tonys attention and he dismisses the issue. I don't know what can be done to correct the problem but it is a real mess. I have never had this issue until the concrete work was done and am very concerned about hurricane season.
