We could not be more pleased with the job Selectricity did on our recent work installing soffit lights and running power to our pool. Steven came to our home, helped us design what we wanted, and gave us a very competitive bid for the work. The two electricians (Mike and Lamarcus) were two of the best electricians we have ever had work for us. They were friendly, professional, and extremely patient. Their work was thorough and well done. We are glad to find a contractor we can trust and highly recommend them. We will use them again in the future!Review from Leslie W.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. They accused us of “bouncing” a check. I contacted and spoke with Marie in the accounting department. She was incredibly rude and said she had a copy of the returned check. I also spoke to the owner Dustin ****** who continued to accuse me of writing a bad check. I asked numerous times for a picture of the returned check. I never received proof from them. Yet I supplied proof to them from our bank of our paid check and proof the funds were removed from our account. Dustin Oliver also slandered me on Facebook accusing me of bouncing a check and that it was up to me to figure it out. Never as a business owner did he take the time to investigate it and see if a mistake was made by his business/employees. After Dustin continued to send me texts demanding money and continuing to accuse me of writing a bad check, my husband and I solved the problem. SELECTRICITY DEPOSITED OUR CHECK INTO A DIFFERENT ACCOUNT. Businesses/people make mistakes but, how the mistake is handled matters. I was treated like a criminal from the get go. Marie and Dustin were incredibly rude and accusatory. I asked numerous times for proof and asked if an employee possibly made a mistake and all I was told was that they had a returned check with insufficient funds stamped on it which was a blatant lie. I highly recommend not using this business. There are plenty of reputable electricians and a/c businesses in Pensacola to choose from and Selectricity is not one of them. Steer clear of Selectricity. Do your research because this company is known for this. As a business owner, Dustin and Marie (accounting?!?) should know where the funds go/are. Shame on this business! Besides the fair pricing, I couldn't imagine any company giving better service than Selectricity, from the initial quote to the completion of the job, Selectricity had excellent responsive communication, the wiring installation crew was always on time, courteous, efficient and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Selectricity for all of your electrical needs.Review from Tom B

A couple of years ago I left an excellent review regarding this company and I can no longer find it on the BBB website, only someones "One star" complaint. Where did my (And others) reviews go? I revisit review websites from time to time to see if they're still on the site and mine was on the BBB site until recently. I encourage others to check out "Google reviews" regarding businesses as they don't seem to purge them.Review from carla n

I have had the worst experience with this company about my bill. They treat black people like crap. The lady was so rude to me . I asked her did she have a problem with black people. I asked to speak to a supervisor about my bill and she refused to let me speak with him. I asked for the owner to call me and he still has not. I am being harassed about a bill that i paid in 2018.I was called outside my name several times by office manager. Consumer service is very poor. I would not recommend this company. I have filed a complaint and i have not got a response from the city.Selectricity Response

This is not true whatsoever. This lady called us out to do some work, then had some items that could not be completed due to no fault of ours. We added the circuits we quoted but could not finish due to the cabinet guy not being done with cabinets. We had to make a second trip that was included on quote, then she also decided to add several more outlets in the cabinets that were certainly not included in the price. Then she called us back out a third time to reconnect some appliances that were installed by others as well as add another outlet in the end of the cabinet. She paid for the original work we quoted and that is it. We contacted her for payment and she insists that she paid already, but cannot provide any proof because she never paid. She owes us a total of $480 and refuses to pay. Then she has the audacity to pull the race card and say it's because she is black and that we do not like black people. First off nobody in my office, including myself, have never actually met her and have no idea what color her skin is. It really makes no difference what color she is I'm this situation. I also have some black relatives as well as several black friends and over 5 black employees. So to call us racist just so you can get out of paying for the work you requested to have done is a very ignorant statement and should be removed from this site because it is a blatant lie.

We just bought a house in Pensacola,Fl . As part of the agreement before buying the house Selectricity was to completely rewire the whole entire house from Copper to Aluminum because of the inspection and insurance policy. As soon as we moved in, we have had a lot of issues with our electricity . We has a lot of breakers blown when we used microwave .We also had a lot of issues with the plugs being blown from washing machine running ,etc. Every time I tried to contact the owner Dustin he would take forever to respond or he would give me so many reasons and excuses to justify he did nothing wrong and it was our fault . It was always back and forth with the owner ( so exhausting}, He never was professional and so immature. He always wanted to blame anything in the house to cause the reason of the breakers tripping, etc. My whole point is , it should never happen when all the wiring is brand new , Dustin has always been rude and very unprofessional . I had another issue with a plug in garage that kept blowing out the refrigerator plug that he fixed the last time we had an issue. The plug in garage keeps blowing the breaker for our refrigerator, We had to throw out a a lot of meat because it threw a breaker shut off refrigerator and all our food and meat went bad.I reached out to Dustin the owner and asked him if he could come out and check it out. He immediately started making excuses and said it was my refrigerators problem . I knew for sure it was not the refrig problem but he was so rude and refused to come check it out . I have never -in my entire life ever worked or seen such unprofessionlism . I give them 0 stars and I would never recommended them to anyone .I feel they should not have a business because of their carelessness, rudiness and unprofessionalism . We are still under warranty but they don't care at all .Selectricity Response

This person was not even one of our customers. We completed the work for the person that sold them the house months prior. This lady was very impatient and called our office demanding we send someone out immediately to fix the problem. When I got out there it was 100% an issue with her washing machine and her 10 year old fridge that was located in the garage. Both appliances have dedicated 20 amp circuits feeding the GFCI outlets they are plugged in to as required by the electrical code. The old appliances are causing the GFCI outlets to trip which is not anything we have control over. If we didn't install GFCI protection per code requirements and she got shocked when she touched the metal washer or fridge it would of been a lot worse of a situation. When I replaced the gfci receptacles with standard outlets both appliances would operate, but most likely both appliances had electrical current leaking into the metal frame creating a dangerous electrocution hazard that I cannot be responsible for. I then installed GFCI circuit breakers as they are not quite as sensitive and they seemed to work bring the appliances stayed on the rest of the time I was there. I did all this at no charge to them even though the actual problem had nothing to do with our work. They were very happy when I left and had me give them a price for adding some additional outlets. Never heard anything back after I left but then I come across this review which is very confusing as to why they would post something like this when they have never even paid us a single dollar.
