Incorrectly filed forms without my knowledge or approval, then threatened to abandon my insurance policy and prevent me from closing on my new home (less than 48 hours prior to closing). I was working with Jordan on a new condo insurance policy. He had sent over the estimate and provided proof of insurance to my mortgage company ahead of closing. Then, the week before closing I got a docusign to finalize the policy, but it contained incorrect information. After reaching out to get the document updated before signing, I received the following: "Hi ******, we cannot correct something that is not active and acknowledged as a policy. This is not simple clerical typo that we can edit, we have to submit an endorsement and document the change you requested. The evidence of insurance we submitted will be invalidated if you do not sign the form. This is similar to taxes, we have to file changes, but the initial application cannot be edited. If this does not work for you, please feel free to let your lender know that we are withdrawing the insurance on this unit or we can. Let us know what works better for you." There should have been no need for a "change" as I did not provide the information they used to populate the form. Additionally, this is not like my taxes as those only get submitted and require amendments AFTER I sign them, whereas I had not signed anything yet in this situation. He is essentially falsifying records.
