I had called Larry ***** out to look at the gas connection that he installed because I kept smelling gas in my yard and house. On January 9th he sent a team to inspect the gas connection to my pool heater that his company installed. The technician stated that the problem was the union and it was due to their faulty installation. I have this all on video with the technician saying it was faulty installation. The technicians fixed the faulty union. I had called and talked to Larry ***** about reimbursement for my initial gas bill of $67.37 due to their faulty installation. He was suppose to check into it and call me back. He never called me back. I have left several messages for him.

We were initially called out to install a new gas line for a proposed pool heater to be installed on November 9, 2022. The homeowner had to contact the gas company for a natural gas meter install because there was no gas on the house. We gave them a price to do the work, permitted the job and installed a new natural gas line from the new meter location to the new pool heater location, which was an approximate 20 foot run. We called in for an inspection. The inspection was made and passed. A pressure test gauge was on the line for the inspector, which was at proper capacity with no leaks. After inspection, we made final connections, turned the gas on and used a leak detection liquid on all joints. There were no leaks, and the job was completed as per usual. Approximately 2 months later, she calls and says she smells gas. We go back out and perform another leak detection test and determined the union was extremely loose but was not faulty. I will reiterate, she called us back out 2 months later. Since that time, the pool heater installer contacted me and said the customer was complaining of problems with the pool heater. At the request of the pool heater company, we used a manometer to test the gas system and the gas supply was perfect with no leaks. At that point the pool installer said she was a complainer and he doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with the pool heater at all. She is wanting us to pay her initial gas bill of $67.37 without contributing any of the gas consumption to start up and test runs of the pool heater by the installer or for any actual use of the pool heater. I believe the homeowner realizes if she complains, most companies would write her a $67.37 check and be done with it, however we are not most plumbing companies. I am a 4th generation plumber and a 3rd generation master plumber. Over my 35 years of doing plumbing work, I have learned there are some people who are unhappy with breakfast, lunch and dinner. As for the installation, it was not faulty. It was not a faulty installation. We have no clue how the union became loose two months later. We don’t know if someone was working on the pool heater and disconnected the union or any other unknown factors. I am not making any allegations, just stating the obvious. We stand by our work and will not pay this customer the $67.37 as she demanded.

Please provide us the video evidence of our plumber stating "it was something he did". If the union was leaking, it would not have passed inspection.
