This business was the property manager for my home for two years and their work was unsatisfactory. When I mentioned discontinuing their service, they mislead me about my rights and bullied the tenant into renewing their lease against my direction. I retained an attorney who encouraged them to relinquish their duties as property manager. Since that time, 8 months ago, Legacy PMC has not returned my $500 maintenance deposit nor the tenants security deposit of $2640 despite forcing the tenant to sign a release stating that money would be hand delivered to my attorney. My attorney has been unable to make any headway with this business because they have refused to retain their attorney. In the meantime, I have suffered further legal fees. Legacy PMC owes me $3140 and they know they can avoid returning it to me because of the costs of the legal system. Instead, they posit that I need to pay them out despite my repeated attempts to terminate our contract with cause with the aid of legal assistance.
