The roof was re-roofed in February 2021 and had several occasions leaking. On March 13, 2022, additional repairs were done by the company. On Saturday, June 17, 2023, I had a light cover ball in my bedroom closet half full of water after the rain, and there was water on the floor of my laundry room. On June 18th, the company advised me that they will come over on June 19, 2023, and they did. On June 27, 2023, I had leaking water through electrical in my bedroom closet. On June 29 and July 2nd, I was advised that “The heat has just been overwhelming this week and limited my work hours,” but the owner came to my property, and I believe he was doing some repairs. On July 8, 2023, Saturday, I emailed new pictures of the water leaking through the lamp in the bedroom closet. On July 10, 2023, I was still experiencing leaks due to rainy days. I emailed more pictures, but unfortunately, the owner was out of town again. On July 11, 2023, I had to place a bucket in the middle of my closet due to leaking water and continued taking pictures for myself and emailing them to the company. On July 12, 2023, the company tarped my roof. On July 18, 2023, Tuesday, I was promised by the owner, “I'm going to be there on Thursday. I don't know what time yet. I had 2 different vehicles go into the shop yesterday and today, and I'm just waiting to get one back.” However, no one showed up on Thursday, and no one contacted me to notify that something happened again in their business, such as someone being out of town or someone’s vehicle being in the repair shop, etc. On July 21, 2023, Friday, I contacted the company again over emails and asked what happened yesterday and why no one showed up. There was no answer. Today is Monday, July 24, 2023 My new roof is tarped for 2 weeks and no one contacted me or come to the property for the repairs. The water was leaking for a long time in my laundry room and my bedroom closet and now I am facing possible mold issues in my house.

This is in response to the complaint from Ms. ****. I have been extremely responsive with Ms. **** and have records of countless communications with her and have personally been to her property 4 or 5 times to make repairs or tarp in the past 60 days.

I removed the original roof we installed at the beginning of 2021 because it didn't have proper water flow and re-installed a 2-part base and cap modified bitumen with a tapered ISO board system. Additionally, I've paid to repair her interior in the past and she was never even originally contracted for a flat roofing product (she signed a contract for a shingle replacement system originally). Ms. **** has continued to threaten me using her influence as a translator in the federal courts and her son has made physical threats of violence towards me in the past. There's nothing I can seem to do to make her happy or be reasonable. I've been nothing but amicable and have personally made several trips out to resolve the sealant issue at her roof-to-wall transition.

This roof was installed properly and passed inspection. It absolutely does not need to be replaced on any section. The section that has most recently leaked didn't leak for over 2 years and the sealant has expanded and contracted over the seasons and I used a silicone based sealant to resolve the water intrusion.

At our last point of contact Ms. **** is refusing to allow us back onto her property to make any repairs, after making a complaint with Escambia County. The county has informed her to my knowledge that this would be a civil matter if I was not found to be in violation of any codes, if she wasn't willing to allow me to make repairs if they even deem that necessary.

I have ALWAYS responded to Ms. ****'s roof issues and always rectified it in the best way I know possible. I've been a licensed Florida Roofer since December of 2005 and have maintained a great reputation because I have always tried to resolve any customer issues amicably and in a timely fashion. Ms. **** refuses to be amicable or reasonable.

      Complaint: 20368585

I am rejecting this response because:

The county licensing office contacted me a couple of week and advised me that, after reviewing all the facts of my complaint and the pictures of my roof, as well as after I provided them with a copy of an independent inspection and my HO insurance adjuster's inspections, they will conduct their own inspection at my house. JM Roofing had ample time to properly repair my roof instead of just patching it here and there. I firmly believe that I have every right to lead a normal life after getting a "NEW ROOF" and not have to worry about any rain, especially when water is leaking through electrical pipes due to the inadequate or defective services provided by JM Roofing, as indicated by independent inspections. As the county licensing office will be conducting their own inspection, JM Roofing is not permitted on my property until it is completed. I have also attached a copy of the insurance letter that outlines their findings for your reference.

      Sincerely,

      Lidia ****

Hello, my name is Louis ******. I paid $20,035 to JM Roofing for a new roof on Jan 21, 2021. This was including an extra 1000.00 for a full secondary water barrier called peel and stick. After finding water leak on May 5. 2023 I contacted JM Roofing the same day. They sent Manuel ****** of *** ****** ***** ******* LLC to inspect my roof about a week later. He found 4 separate roof leaks in my attic leaking down inside home. They responded on May 12, 2023 that they are buying supplies and will have repair date soon. I have been completely ignored since that date of 5/12. Rain comes almost daily in Florida this time of year and each rain brings more damage to my house. I have been very patient. I need help. JM Roofing is affiliated with Pensacola Roofing. Joshua ****** is the owner and Tina is the secretary. Please help me with this matter. Thank you, Louis ******
