Discussed with the taxi driver before entering vehicle and agreed on a price which was too high to begin with and the driver of the taxi forced me out of the vehicle on the side of the road for no reason unless I could provide an additional $20 to go 2.5miles down the roadBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/18) */ Thank you for making me aware of this. I would like to take care of the concern, however I need a little more information please. I checked the phone number provided and we have never dispatched a trip for that number. I need to know if it was hail? Aslo the date and aprox time, and any other information such as Cab# , driver name, driver description. where picked up, where dropped off. Our rates are regulated by the city of Pensacola. They are as follows. $2.00 when you enter the cab, and 2.25 a mile thereafter, with a .30 cent per minute wait time anytime the vehicle is not in motion. If one of our drivers charged anything different then I certainly want to know about it so I can fix it. As far as the forcoing out of the cab, I also need to know the circumstances. ie were they at the end of the trip and wanted to go somewhere else? Did driver suddenly pull over before the trip was over? Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/04/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We had paid the driver $35 but the drive was only 10miles so according to your rates the ride should've only been $24.50 for the full distance. The driver was in a slightly older Cadillac SUV that was tan in color with a tan interior, we don't know his name or the cars number. He was a black guy that had used to drive in Louisville, Ky some. He picked us up at the ********* and was going to give a ride to gulf shores and left us at a gas station in orange beach that had a atm that he attempted to get us to use for an additional $20. The ride was March 20th at probably 2-3am and we just hopped in since he was out front of the florabama. The driver didn't use any type of device to figure up the rate for the ride but was simply just making up numbers and preying on people trying to get home safely. The driver suddenly stopped a few miles before the ride was over demanding more money for no reason we were having casual conversation in the car and he just pulled over and forced us out if we couldn't provide additional money, there was no additional stops asked we just wanted to go home. Instead had to walk the reminder because of a common crook. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/05/04) */ Thank you for the details. We do have a silver Cadillac. The man who I believe you are talking about drove it at that time and was a weekly driver and was not logged in at the time. We require all of our drivers to be logged in when taking trips. I apologize for his behavior. Unfortunately if it was him, he is no longer a driver for us. I would like to send you a refund for your expenses.
