My dog was not eating and had diarrhea. we went there 10/4/2023 When we arrived they asked me to put her on the scale which I did. My dog has poor vision and anxiety so I have asked the practice to open the door slowly as not to startle her. The door was flung open and she growled. i am happy to put a muzzle on her which i did. The vet arrived and spoke with me. Not one person at Brentwood Animal Hospital checked her vital signs. They never took her temperature. The vet stood at the door- he never palpated her abdomen, he never listened to her heart or lungs, he never did any examination of my dog at all. Absolutely did not look at or touch my dog. he stood in the doorway and prescribed injections and medications. This is below an acceptable standard of care. I was charged for a vet's evaluation - which he never did. Neither the vet nor the techs took her vitals. This was unacceptable. My dog started having focal seizures and Brentwood told me to go to the emergency vet on Davis Highway. They refused to give me her records. The emergency vet would not see her without the visit notes. I called and asked for her records and they said the vet does not allow visit notes to be given when he is out of town. ???? very suspicious but then I realized he may not want the emergency vet to know that he did not examine the patient- did not take vitals just stood at the door and prescribed without any physical examination of the patient. i want a refund- my dog had diarrhea and now has seizures. You did not help her you hurt her and broke my trust in you completely. How do we live in a world where vets don't even examine their patients. I want a refund and I want my pets records so I can seek a vet who cares on some level. I want a vet clinic that takes vitals, palpates the abdomen, uses a stethoscope, to listen to heart and lungs. Please take the time to take vitals in the future and do an examination of a dog when you charge for a vet examination
