We signed a home rental lease with this company on May 17 2024. We paid for a prorated month for June 17 and full month rent for July up front. Total amount was $6662.93. We also paid a non refundable deposit of $658. Six day later on May 23 we informed them we no longer needed the home due to not needing to relocate for a job. We did this in good faith, and they are refusing to reimburse, claiming the entire amount. The manger ********************** said he will reimburse only if they can get a tenant in before our original move in date of June 17. They are also now trying g to charge an additional $4745 for a move out fee. We never set foot in this home. As of today there is still 24 days prior to our lease taking effect. We do not believe they are entitled to this money. We offered to pay for the 6 days that it was off the market. We are asking for the $6662 back and the removal of the new charge. We are a family of 5 and do not have thousands of dollars to lose. This was all done in good faith, and now they can keep our money for no reason.

Myself, sister and kids rented and air bnb from 10 Stars. The house seemed fairly clean and tidy. The bed spread in the master was gross, old and looked like it had been used for years and years. The same with the other two rooms. My daughter actually had to change the sheets in one of the rooms and throw the original in the washer because they were gross. One of the legs was loose on her bed as well. Fast forward, I find dishes that were dirty while trying to make food. Then come to find out the TVs do not work. I finally did contact them about the dishes and the TVs. They were apologetic about both. Said the TVs are not smart TVs as advertised. So they said they would send someone over the following day. Then there is the pool, Its absolutely filthy and has broken pool tiles in the bottom. I again contact them about the pool. They tell me someone will clean it the following day. The next day, a random lady comes to fix the TVs. She was very nice. She stated that she had just been hired that morning by them because they had fired the cleaning company the night before. The pool cleaner then shows up and tells us the pool is not useable. It has toxic plaster in it that whoever tried to fix the pool previously used. She also said the filter wasnt working properly because it was extremely loud. I contacted airbnb and asked for a refund which they granted based on the circumstances. We were literally there under 24hours. I have rented from airbnb the last 2 years with great success and reviews. I was contacted yesterday by the company demanding $1500 for damage repairs most of the damage they are talking about was already reported by me having been there before us. The other was a ripped throw pillow, stain on the carpet and on a chair(none of which I noticed or am responsible for. They also accused me of stealing their hair dryer and towels. They are trying to get their money back from being poor hosts, by making false accusations and trying to bully me.

10 stars is harassing me and other tenants with texts/emails about a lease preparation fee they are enacting. They have sent multiple messages to me telling me that $100 will be added as a fee to my next months rent if I do not leave them a positive review online (mentioning specific employees by name) then sending them proof or sending them proof of a $100 donation to charity. I have all of this from them in writing. This is extortion. How can this possibly be legal??

Today 1/10 10 stars showed up early at my home and ask that I let them into my home. This was almost an hour before a 5 hour window for them to come and do maintenance at my home. When I informed them I could not be there an hour early they said they are charging me $100 for canceling the appointment. When they showd up at my home outside of our agreed upon appointment time. I was ready and able to make our appointment. But because they showed up early I am being charged for their mistake.

We lived here a total of 3 years, when we moved out they kept most of the security deposit for crazy reasons. They charged a $250 cleaning fee, even though a cleaning company was hired by me to come in and it was spotless, I have pictures and video. They charged $500 for touchup paint even though it was normal wear and tear. They charged a fee for emptying trash cans, even though I had a trash service every week, they charged to repair 2 small tiles on a window sill even though I had a maintenance request in to have them fixed. This place just makes up excuses to keep your security deposit. I called several times and tried emailing to no answers on all.

This company is trying to keep our security deposit for $1,350.00 saying that they have 8 Touch Up paint for 8x 25 $1,000 this is so ridiculous because we left the apartment in good conditions and I also took a video of the entire apartment before we leave the keys ?? inside, then they are charging us for another day ???? What day we pay an extra prorated week, so I don't know what are they are talking about? This is a HORRIBLE AGENCY, we never signed a lease agreement with them since they took over in may and they didn't want to renew so we were staying month by month. AND TO FINISH WITH A GOLDEN MEDAL we didn't have A/C for the past two weeks before we move and they fix the A/C when we weren't living there anymore and I also have the work orders since we reported it, if they want to keep our security deposit ?? I have more to prove them wrong. Thanks ??

A certified mail with our security deposit check from 10 Stars Property Management, LLC was sent on 4/26/2023. The total amount for the security deposit was $2200. The check we received was for only $1425. This business charged ** $775 for repairs and cleaning. Touch-up paint($150) due to normal wear and tear, carpet cleaning($350), door paint($25), and a standard cleaning fee of $250.We have tried disputing these charges with the business but they are ignoring us now after 3 emails across the span of a few weeks. We believe we were wrongfully charged. Not only did we spend hours cleaning before moving in, but we also spent hours cleaning before moving out. We left that place cleaner than when we moved in and were still charged an absurd amount. We carpet-cleaned the entire staircase and all the carpeting upstairs with our personal carpet cleaner yet they were not satisfied because we do not have receipts to prove that we had a professional business clean the carpets. Again none of the services they are taking money for was provided to us prior to us moving in.If this business is charging the renters a standard cleaning, carpet cleaning, painting, and making sure everything is functional prior to a new renter. Then I expect the home to be damage free and clean before I move in. Yet it was not clean and there were doors hanging off, carpet stains, and roaches when we first got the keys to the house. The proof doesn't even need to be provided by ** the renters because, in the rental agreement, you can see 10 Stars Property Management, LLC did their own home inspection with pictures, and in the pictures the windows were dirty, doors were falling off and yet in the check boxes stating whether there was anything that needed to be fixed or if everything was in working condition. The boxes for no fixes needed and the words "acceptable" were all checked off therefore implying there is nothing that needs to be cleaned or fixed. They are just taking money for fun.

She is being held in this apartment against her will. Please help us.

We have been in contact with them regarding the intensive smoke problem in my unit. I discovered the apartment's serious health hazard was being masked by numerous air fresheners not disclosed to me at time of walk through. It was explained to me that the air fresher smell was due to recent "thorough cleaning". The lease states a non-smoking environment and was described as such when I viewed the unit prior to moving in. Complaints have been made by phone and email. We have recently mailed them a Certified Letter. I suffer from Asthma and allergic reactions to intense smoke. All my clothes, furniture, and personal possessions are now filthy and disgusting with the intense smoke that comes in from the adjoining unit. After these complaints, I was assured that the smoking would stop, an ozonizer, and other remediation would be provided, no such actions have taken place. I formally request the following. 1. The Non-Smoking policy is enforced and smoking ceases inside the adjacent unit or to the point it does not infiltrate my apartment 2. Have my apartment, clothing, and possessions professionally cleaned - and then for each repeated smoke infiltration incident Or 1. Terminate my lease at my earliest convenience when I am able secure another apartment with full return of all deposit monies. 2. Reimburse move out expenses as I am being forced to move under duress due to uninhabitable conditions 3. Have my clothing and possessions professionally cleaned.

We rented a home for 12 months from this company. After moving out we received a letter in the mail that was a claim towards our security deposit. This claim listed many different damages with no charge associated with each damage and a total number of $4,585 in charges. We have reached out to the company 3 times by email and called almost every day and have not been able to get to anyone in the company. These charges are almost all unfair and we 100% feel they are attempting to scam us as we have proof that the home was in this condition prior to us moving in and they are now attempting to charge us for remodeling the home and refusing to speak with us now that we are fighting back. We have sent a written objection back to them in the mail. I will attach a copy of their claim and the objection we sent. It is completely unprofessional how this company is handling this and I would hate for another family to have to go through dealing with this.
