Our driveway awning was damaged by a hurricane. We filed a claim with our insurance company and got several bids to have it replaced. We decided to go with this company. The salesman, *********************, had me sign an NOC even though Im not on the deed and told me that he thought that the City of ****** wouldnt even notice that Im not the owner and it would probably go under their radar. So I signed . I never signed a contract though. They never produced a contract just a paper with the bid was all we had. He said an engineer would be out to get proper measurements and drawings to submit for the permit. Weeks went by and we heard nothing. We called the office to try and get information and got no response about when things were starting and what was going on . Eventually we decided to use a different company since we felt things werent right. A little over a month after the salesman was at our home we called the office and my husband since he is on the deed spoke to a representative and told her we wanted to cancel the job. She got all the information and confirmed it was canceled. That was on 3/5/24. We then hired another company. No work had been completed by the company we let go. They did nothing. On 3/21/24 I received a call from this company saying they had pulled permits and were ready to start. We had fired them weeks prior yet they pulled permits 3 weeks after that. Now the company we hired cant get a permit because this company is playing games and trying to extort money out of us because they have this permit hostage when had let them go 3 weeks prior. I spoke to ***************************** , from AHC on 3/21/24 and he was rude and disrespectful and uncooperative. The call end with no resolution and I had a feeling that they were going to scam us. We called the new awning company we hired and the looked to see when the permit was pulled and thats how found out it was 3weeks after we told the we didnt want to use them. 3/22/24 this *************** now wants money from us.Initial Complaint

They have some type of lien on my property for a job that was paid in full a long time ago which I need proof of to be released from this lien, or Notice of commencement. I have tried over an over to get this from them to no avail.Business response
