On 2/5/2022, I visited this market to have some shortcake as I have every year for the last 25 years. This day happened to be very busy and there was limited available parking, so I parked behind a truck, unsure of who the truck belonged to. When I went to leave, there were 2 very large bins of fruit behind my vehicle, so when I asked an employee if they could get someone to help me, he said "well I'm sure someone will move it eventually" and I responded, "I need to leave now, please go get someone to help me." When the manager, I assume, came out and asked "what makes you think that was a good idea to park behind someone? That was dumb!" I responded with, "it was an accident and I apologize, please just move the bins" as he continued to talk down to me and treat me extremely disrespectfully. I told him he was being rude and he said, "I don't care, you shouldn't have parked here." No where near the area was there any signs or postings saying "no parking" so I wasn't sure and I was completely disrespected and degraded for making a mistake. I don't think someone should be allowed to treat a customer so horribly!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/17) */ This customer double parked, blocking my work truck on the busiest day of the year so far. I discovered this as I was attempting to load the truck with boxes of citrus. Unable to do so, I left the boxes behind her vehicle. I was unable to access my truck for at least 20 minutes. When the customer presented herself to me, I asked her why she chose to block my truck. Customer stated there was no sign saying not to park there. I asked the customer if she needed a sign to know not to park behind a vehicle, preventing it from moving. Customer took offense to this question, as it made her feel stupid, in her words. I then moved the boxes and she was able to leave, less than 3 minutes later. Customer then called a few minutes after to complain about her treatment. I told her if she thought being blocked in was an inconvenience for her, how did she think I felt? She then stated she would be reporting me to the BBB, and I told her she should be happy her car wasn't towed away for impeding my business. Customer stated I can't tow her, because she's never shopping here again. I agreed that this was the best course of action, and that she was no longer welcome to shop here.
