I hired the Honey Do Crew to some remolding and the areas of concern are the master bathroom (molding, painting, tile, vanity install with granite counters and sinks), base boards in kitchen area to include painting and caulking, and cleaning/restoring of landscaping in front of the house to include painting the front wall. The project began on 7 March 2022 and to date $60,819 dollars has been paid. The vanity to be installed with granite and sinks was not order until a couple of weeks ago, it will be delivered in approximately 8 weeks from now, understood install will be delayed due to late ordering. I've texted with the owner Janet numerous times and get promises of dates and excuses as to why no one shows up. I want only for this project to be completed, very minor work to do. I've done various parts of the work I hired them for, but can no longer accept this. I want my work completed immediately.Business response

8/24/21 The contract was initiated between myself/husband and the Honey Do Crew to remodel threes bathrooms. The financial owner Janet had told me she was the contractor. I later found out the contractor whose license she uses lives on the east coast of Florida and has not step foot in my house to inspect any work. On multiple occasions I requested the contractor and Janet to come inspect the work but that never happened. Towards the end of March Janet came to my house to tell me she will not be remodeling our master bathroom. This was her decision alone but insist it was a mutual agreement. There were cabinets ordered to fit in our bathroom, but not custom built. When she quit our job I told her I don't know if I can use the cabinets because it will depend on my new contractor. Janet is insisting that I have to take the cabinets as they are nonrefundable, but she quit the job so I feel that I should not be responsible. I've had different contractors Come out to give me an estimate on remodeling our bathroom. All the contractors said the cabinets should only cost approximately $1500. Janet is charging me $5500. Janets crew was going to paint the cabinets when they were installed. This will cost me another $1500 to have the cabinets painted. I requested the invoice from the cabinet company but she refuses to provide. I stated I would not have a problem paying a little over invoice but because I've been told by professionals that she is price gouging and not providing proof of cost I should not take those cabinets. There was also a problem with the shower floor in one of the bathrooms. I've been advised that it has not been installed properly even though there is adequate flow to the drain. Janet wants to send her plumber with a laser to determine if the floor is installed correctly. I was told by my plumber and the other contractors that it's not a plumbing issue it's installation issue,no permit pulled Janet also charging me restocking fee on items she had to returnBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/07/06) */ Here is the info for the cabinets Mrs ****** directly dealt with Select Quality Cabinets for the purchase of her vanities, I have text messages where she directly talks to him and asks him to deliver the cabinets. I have sending a few other emails I have showing she worked with them, designed with them and ordered with them. We merely were doing the install for her and she changed her mind she didn't want them over 90 days and the company refused to do a refund. Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2022/07/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) *****, the owner of the Honey Do Crew stated that I worked directly with her cabinet guy. She hired him and gave him the money (deposit) to order the cabinets. Yes, I agreed to go with the cabinets months before Janet terminated our contract. She claims it was mutual, but she came to my house and told me she will not be doing our master bathroom. At that time, I have my email to prove it, I stated I was not sure if I can use the cabinets as it will depend on the contractor I hire. It took me a little while to find a contractor I was comfortable with after dealing with Janet. I had approximately five different contractors come out to give me an estimate and they all said the cabinets should not cost more than $2000. When I asked Janet's cabinet guy for a copy of the invoice from the cabinet company where he ordered from he said I have to go through Janet because she hired him. I asked Janet for the invoice several times, but she ignored me and never showed a receipt for them. I also have a text from her cabinet guy stating that the pricing was high. Janet terminated the contract so I feel that I should not be responsible for the cabinets. Do your homework before hiring anyone and make sure they ARE a certified contractor Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2022/07/20) */ While The Honey Do Crew LLC holds customer satisfaction to be a top priority even when a dispute arises, we vehemently deny any such allegations of wrongdoing and/or legal liability raised by Ms. ****** here. First and foremost, this customer explicitly consented to the price of the subject cabinets and further agreed that the master bedroom would not be part of the applicable scope of work. The alleged estimates from other companies are immaterial to this dispute, as the total amount for the cabinets was agreed upon prior to the deposit being paid. The cabinets in question were specifically fabricated for her home and do not require any form of "painting" prior to installation. We even previously offered to come back out to this customer's property to assess any alleged remaining issues she had regarding the work performed; however, such attempts proved ultimately futile, and to date, she has not permitted us to perform a follow-up inspection. As such, this complaint appears nothing more than a thinly veiled and improper attempt by this customer to escape their contractual obligation to pay the outstanding amounts due and owed per the agreement between the parties. Lastly, The Honey Do Crew LLC is properly qualified with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation by a licensed Certified General Contractor, as searchable by the public via the applicable online portable. In turn, this customer's insinuations and statements to the contrary are not only blatantly untrue, but also potentially defamatory in nature. Notwithstanding the above, we are still more than willing to discuss this matter directly with this customer in the hopes of reaching an amicable resolution to this dispute. She is welcome to contact our office to discuss this matter further at her convenience. Consumer Response /* (4200, 20, 2022/07/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) ***** from The Honey Do Crew continues to lie. I agreed to the cabinets months before Janet and only Janet terminated our contract. I never said I would not have them do our master bathroom. I have a text message from Janet stating her, her contractor and her workers were having a meeting to figure out what to do about the master bathroom. Within a day or two after she text me about the meeting, Janet came to my house and said they were not going to continue with the master bathroom. Because it was Janet and her company's decision not to continue the work I feel that I should not be responsible for purchasing the cabinets. You can see from my texts that Janet is not truthful and states that Janet, her GC and forman were having a meeting to decide if they wanted to continue with the remodel of our master bathroom
