Nations Benefit for Anthem Senior Advantage is ridiculous. If Anthem partnered with them to attract customers, Anthem will lose more business than it hopes to gain. NB says they'll pay for utilities, but the only utility the card worked for was ************ of ****. Yes, I told the companies to run it as a credit card, and it was still declined saying the lender (Nations Benefit) declined the purchase for Windstream/Kinetic (phone), Rural Lorain County Water Authority, Lorain County Sanitary **************** NEORSD, Republic Services(trash)...NB says if declined, you can apply for reimbursement. Monthly?! Because I have nothing better to do? These are utility bills, not cruise liner ticket purchases! If your ******** health plan says their product provides certain benefits, and you register with them based on those claims, they have an obligation to stand by what they say.Review from Ana M

I agree with Les L review: IF THERE WAS A NEGATIVE 10 THAT'S WHAT THIS COMPANY WILL GET from me. In all the orders I've placed, canned goods are dented, items are not the brands they have on their website catalog, they are generic and brands I haven't heard of, prices are ridiculously high, and to top it all, I had to pay taxes: the choice was pay the taxes or eliminate articles from the cart which defeats the purpose of using the authorized allowance, and that money is not rolled over. I tried to place my order on line but my ID # kept on been rejected, although I called AETNA and my number is correct and active, but nobody knows what or how to fix the problem. I ended up placing my order over the phone on June 30th and received it today. When I began checking it, only 1, out of 22 articles, was what's illustrated in the catalog. Several of the cans are dented; I ordered GOYA CRACKERS and received Saltines from a brand I've never heard of (which I can't use because I've been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease). I ordered a pack of 10 GUM (Brand illustrated in the catalog) interdental brushes, and received a pack of 6 generic interdental brushes. The same goes for the rest of the articles. There is an allowance to buy "Healthy Foods" and these are the choices: canned soups, ramen noodles soup, generic cooking oil, so on and so forth. I haven't tried to use the card on a store and won't even try cause, as I read in the reviews, is the same situation, if not worst. Beside living on a fixed income and having to count every single *****, we have to be submitted to this blatant money scam. I don't understand why AETNA had to change to this company (they were contracting with CVS), but this has been for the worse, at least for we that have no other choice but to use the service. And, as I saw in the reviews, this is nothing new, complaints have been filed and go unresolved, and the company is still in business. IS THERE AN AGENCY THAT CAN TAKE CHARGE AND INVESTIGATE?Review from Les L

If I could give a negative 10 review I would. Nations benefits is truly the worst company to deal with. Every single complaint in all these reviews is true. In their household products section the only item they offer is a pocket pack of Kleenex. I've tried the card at ****** and was able to get a few items but only name brand at full price. So that knocks Wal-Mart out of the water because most all their products are discounted if even a little but you can only get full priced items. The website is ridiculous. ***** fresh fruit pantry box costs *****. And two day shipping? What a joke. I'm on day 6 for my order, I went ahead and got a couple of the dreadfully priced items because the benefit doesn't roll over. The only place I've used this near useless card successfully is at the gas pump and ***** But I have no car so there you go. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned a class action suit. Between having to fight each month and get PA to get supposedly covered prescriptions and this blood pressure rising card I wish I never would have left UNC. Aetna and nations benefits outright lie, daily and pass the buck to each other while never resolving complaints, never even acting like they care to make them right.Review from Peggy H

Nations Benefits is by far the most awful company I have had to deal with. Past experience with Nations Hearing (a part of Nations Benefits) is better described as a back alley establishment, that charges higher prices than a more reputable establishment. Aetna, my ************************** prefers to use this company for it's "benefit" program. This does not say much at all for Aetna, which I thought was reputable. My most recent experience with Aetna/Nations Benefits was concerning the *** program. I called Nations Benefits first regarding a purchase I tried to make at one of the locations listed on their website, claiming I could use my Extra Benefits Card there. I went to this locations, found the items needed (clearly stating *** on the shelves). When I went to the register to purchase the items my card was denied. This should not have happened as I checked to make sure my balance was enough for the purchase.Today I called Nations Benefits to get some answers. My first customer service was ********** I explained the situation. He said that the locations have there own policies and not all accept the card for ***. I asked why that was not stated on the webpage. He had no idea but I could talk to ***** about it. He tried to transferred me to them, but the call was disconnected. I called Nations Benefits back and got ****** explained the situation again and my frustrations regarding it. She basically told me she couldn't do anything and I could file a complaint with *****. Back to Aetna and I got Ophilia. She actually went to Nations Benefit and looked at the transactions for the ***, sent me to *****. ***** went through everything I was told previously and said I needed to talk to ***. She transferred me to ***, Dom. *** didn't know what to do so he transferred me to **** in the *** dept. **** was actually the first customer service person to actually listen. She wanted me to talk to store supervisor at location to change the policy. I said no Aetna or NBs jobReview from Peggy S

I have tried many times to get reimbursed for out of pocket expenses which a rep told me I was entitled to. I sent the forms in via email, only to receive another email telling me more info is needed. I emailed that all a week ago and will see what happens. Their customer service reps ***** like they're 15 years old at most, and are not informed, transfer me to someone else, only to have the call dropped and I have to start over. Worthless company if you ask me. Any company that partners with them should be ashamed to do so, and put all of us in jeopardy.Review from Shannon B

You can only order online from thier choice of their no name **************** I need like Cortozone 10 they don't even have. WAY OVERPRICED an XL heating pad that would cost me $21.00 on Amazon, or $19.99 from ******* but it would cost me over $40 on thier site. PRICE GOUGING AT IT FINEST! Nice job BCBS Currently being home bound & going in for major surgery going walking around a store is litterly impossible for me at this time.Nice job BCBSReview from S W.

Nations Benefits should not be allowed to be in business. The program doesnt work and customer service workers cannot solve the problems this company has. The application used to scan products for OTC products hasnt worked since January 2024. This is a new app they make us download, but has not been fixed. I have left many complaints with customer service with tickets sent to their IT department, but so far nothing has changed. Trying to buy products in stores is a long process. I have to check out one item at a time to see if its covered. I have complained to my insurance company and was told many people are complaining. The money I am allowed each month is wasted since I am unable to use the flex money towards copayments or other medical expenses. I do not want to give any stars to rate, its forcing me to leave something. I will leave 1.Review from Donna G

Terrible customer service. I contacted the ********************** customer service two times for assistance with logging into their system and both times the representative hung up on me before I could leave a review on the survey at the end of the call. Very disrespectful.
