      In the month of March 2024 I went to Akumin in ********************* to have medically necessary Ct scans and an Ultrasound and was at the end of a SS disability case awaiting a decision so I paid cash (had no choice at the time) but then on June 11th I was APPROVED for ******** retroactively effective start date 2/1/2024 and was told to contact all places where I paid out of pocket and have them resubmit the claims to ********. So Akumin was one of those places and they are yanking my chain on this, not answering the phone or the 10 emails I sent them begging them to get back to me. I contacting them in June about this matter and it is now August. I have received refunds from almost most all other doctors during this time. They seem to not want to refund the cash money I paid BUT I WAS COVERED LEGALLY BY ******** and I want my money back. They have had 2 months to work on my case now. I need my money back as I am disabled and cannot work.

      They have not contacted me yet. Also why is she the support team will be contacting me. It is billing who needs to refund me. This has to be unlawful what they are doing to me. They owe me money and are still not contacting me. I need more help please

      7-5-24 WAS T was told by Catscan tech that there was no microphone in the Catscan. I needed to exit the scan-machine due to sharp pain in the shoulder area (torn rotator cuff). I only needed to exit the scanner and re-position my arms. I repeated my need 3 times with no response. when I asked if was any communication between patient and technician I was told "Nope". I am sure the microphone was turned off. Easier to do that than have to "deal with" a patient.VERY RUDE also.

      need to reach a head manager or supervisor to report a akumin employee by the name of ****** who works in collections and billing . Attached is a list of her 17 calls to me today from her personal cell phone harassing me . I called her about a bill from a MRI and when she called me she started screaming at me at the top of her lungs on the phone and told me to s*** up and stop over talking her. She needs investigated and Im reporting her and this invoice to government harassment agencies. She called me 17 times today screaming at me in the phone. Screen shot attached for proof . Bians is ride, hostile , argumentive and brasin ***************************.

      I am rejecting this response because:Not only does this balance need removed from my account as I was lied to by Akumin scheduling ( a man that sounded like he was based in a 3rd world country call center)  team and front office who told me I did not owe anything as this was 100% covered my insurance-,URGENT I need to reach a head supervisor and manager leadership at Akumin.   This is in regard to a complaint i have on an employee that works at Akumin who is harassing me.   Your employee has called me 17 times in less then 24 hours screaming at me on the phone, she even told me to SHUT UP.  I told her to stop harassing me and now she is emailing me after I told her to stop contacting me and to put me in touch with her supervisor.  she is refusing to transfer me to her supervisor.  This is considered harassment that she has called me 17 times in less then 24 hours, screaming at me and calling me names.  Now she is emailing me     -this email needs to be sent to a head supervisor and human rescources.  the name of the employee I am filing a complaint on who is harrassing me is named  ******************************   See email chain below between her and i.   I need  TO BE PUT IN CONTACT WITH A HEAD SUPERVISOR ASAP TO REPORT THIS EMPOYEE HARRASSING ME .       I received a bill in the mail from akumin for $776.00 for a **** First of all I do not know $776. It also shows ********* *******" I do NOT have ******** *******. This team at akumin not only has my insurance wrong , they also told me that it was 100% covered and I did NOT OWE any money to have the **** **** specificlaly told me they had insurance approval and the insurance had covered it at 100% ...I am demanding this amount by removed from my account immedialty account #**********

      I am rejecting this response because: there are many errors going on here.  first of all I have 2 recorded calls with akumin in *************** 2 months in advance prior to doing the *** they took my insurance info over the phone and told me this mri was 100% covered by my insruance.  then the day of my appointment i also brought in insurance card and man at front desk told me he verified it and appointment was fully covered by my insurance and I do not owe anything....now 3 months later I get this outrageous bill       I am requesting this balance be removed immediatly

      I am requesting to speak to a supervisor head manager.  You have called me 17 times which is considered harassment, I am now in the process of retaining a lawyer for this harassment in this matter if your harrassment does not stop.  i am also requesting this bill be adjusted and this balance removed, as your scheduling team, which calls I have recorded, told me this *** was covered.  At the time of the appointment NOONE at the *************** office or phone told me about any balance due.   Akumin is conducting unethical billing practices and I am demanding to speak to a supervisor.


      I need to file a serious complaint on Akumin , I am being severely bullied, harassed and abused by an employee at Akumin.   To the point I am scared for my life.    Let me .   I visited this *** facility in *************** back in October of 2023 for a ***, I am on ******** ,  and disabled,  no income.  Not only did the front desk staff take my insurance and lie to me telling me the *** would be covered at 100%, they also told me that on the phone prior to the appointment on the phone on 2 different occasions by there scheduling team     ..now fast forward I get a collection notice in the mail last week saying i owe $776 for this *** they told me was covered.    I sent a email to Akumin corporate office about it, next thing I know I get a call from ********************; in there billing department, who is apparently a supervisor, on that call she screamed at me at the top of her lungs, told me to shut and told me to "shut the h*** up" several times every time I tried talking to her.  she then proceeded to call my phone 17 times in less then 24 hours.   I told her to stop...YES 17 TIMES.  Now she is emailing me harassing me and refuses to put me to a supervisor even though I asked many times.   this lady is harassing me , bullying me and the things she said to me on he phone are illegal--see recent email thread below

      I was referred to Premier *** in May 2023 for an *** of my knee. When I went to their offices, I was told that because I had not yet met my insurance deductible I would have to pay the *** fee in advance. They allowed me to make a deposit and set up a monthly recurring payment plan. The last payment should have been made in July.To my surprise I received notification from my insurance company that they had in fact covered the bill. However, the recurring monthly payments continued. To my even greater surprise I received a collection notice. For the bill that has now been paid twice. It is now November and that recurring fee is still happening. I called their offices last week to speak with someone in the billing department. I was unable to reach anyone. I spoke with the front desk attendant who told me they don't have anyone in the billing department anymore.When I explained the situation to her, she informed me their system had been hacked and she could not even access my account. She stated their files were being held by *********************. They were unable to assist me with any of these issues.I'm even more concerned that my private information has been compromised and I have not received any notification about it. I presume that is because they did not have access to patient names and addresses. However, I have not been able to find any public announcements about this compromise.I am now working with my bank and the credit bureaus to resolve these issues, but it is a pain and very time consuming.I would like this company to properly notify patients, referring Physicians, and the public of the breech, provide credit monitoring to impacted individuals, notify the credit bureaus of these issues to expedite claims, and return the funds that have been charged.

      I have spoken to the company several times about overpayments made by me across multiple visits to the ***********, ** location. They make you pay upfront at the time of service. According to my explanation of benefits, I am owed over $400 for services on 8/24/22 ($278.44 overpayment), 7/29/21 ($124.18 overpayment), & 12/17/19 (***** overpayment). I last spoke with a manager in the billing ***** named **************** (possibly Heel/Heal/Hill) in May 2023 and was assured that a check would be coming. I have been told this several times since fall 2022. At one point they even sent me an invoice instead of a refund. They either don't know what they are doing or are actively trying to steal money from their patients. I can provide more information and documentation if necessary.

      We spoke with the patient on 5/23/2023 advised her that we would get her refund turned over to our Accounting team to process. We also agreed that if there were any issues we would call her back.

      The refund was sent Accounting and the patient refund check for $417. 87 is set to run on the next check run on 7/7/2023.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I am requesting an immediate refund.  Since they are not able to refund the money to the original credit cards that were charged and since they may or may not cut a check on 7/7/23, I am willing to go to the facility to provide a credit card for them to refund the money to.  In lieu of that, I will accept a check cut today and over-nighted to me with tracking information provided.  I am not willing to wait until 7/7/23 for a check to supposedly be cut and then wait for it to arrive in the mail.  Too much time has passed and I have been assured too many times that I would receive a refund.

      The first communication that I had with this facility regarding an over payment was last fall regarding the date of service 8/24/22.  I was assured that a refund would be sent and could take up to 6 weeks to arrive.  As ridiculous as that time period was, I agreed to wait.  When I realized that 6 weeks had come and gone and I had not received my refund, I called again.  It was during this phone call that I was made aware that not only had the refund not been processed, but I had over paid for services on 7/29/21 and on 12/17/19.  A woman named ****** assured me that all of this would be taken care of and that I would need to wait up to another 6 weeks for the refund to arrive.  Again I waited and no refund arrived; however, I received an invoice for $385.54! The next time I called I spoke with the supervisor of the billing department, **************** (possibly Heel, Heal, ****?) who after some research assured me that I the invoice was reversed and that I would receive a refund that he would try to expedite.  That was at the end of May and a check has not even been cut yet?!  This is beyond ridiculous that they owe me money as far back as 2019, and I still haven't been reimbursed.  The fact that their system is set up that they do not recognize a credit when you arrive for a service in which they intend to charge you for is negligent.  How many other people has this happened to that have no idea that they were overcharged?  After having this happen to me, my research shows that I am not the only one, and this appears to be a common practice with this company.  They are actively deceiving patients and then when called out on their practices, try to make it ****** difficult to receive a refund.  I understand that working with insurances can be confusing and difficult, but it is pretty clear from my explanation of benefits and my receipts, that I was overpaid.  Why has this been so difficult to get a refund?

      June 16 at 330PM i had an appointment at Akumin ******** location. I took half a day off from work to go to my appt. Upon arrival i was told my isnuracne is pending and that they cant take me. Then i got the appointment at their plantation location for 6/20/23 at 815 pm. I get there and the location has a note that says there was a power outage and that theyre closed. I am calling now to get help with a new appt, and i am told they still havent gotten the insurance authorization (but this is due to them not calling to confirm with the insurance) and also they are putting me at the end of the line to get a new appointment. They dont offer any appointments that i need until next month, when my ******** has no time for this. Timing is everything with a medical situation trying to rule out devastating news.no apology from them for them not completing my appointments at 2 different tries.

      In June 16 2023 I went to Nuclear Medicine in Akumin on St Petersburg to do my exam. The technologist who I advices about my weeker veins she took my IV without care on patient condition. I advices her but she didnt care she looked to get the contrast over all rather my suffering during a hour that the procedure longed. She broke my vein and it periferias , I suffered during the process so as the 2 days later . Im still having pain in my forearm. I need Akumin give me back money that I paid for that.
