When I checked my credit card statement on the card's website, I saw a charge made last night (11:47pm) supposedly "by phone" to Magazine *** Plantation *** for $19.95. I did not call anyone last night to purchase or subscribe to a "book, periodical, or newspaper." I do not believe my credit card itself has been compromised (although I will continue to watch for any additional fraudulent charges). After the charge is posted to my account, I can file a dispute, but from the BBB website, it looks like this is a fairly common occurrence with this publisher.

After further research, I believe this was an automatic renewal for a magazine I already subscribe to. However, the email telling me that my subscription would renew did not arrive until several days after this charge appeared on my credit card statement. It also did not show up on the statement with the same business name as the email from the magazine said would be shown. The email link embedded into the online credit card statement was to a technology company in *****, completely unrelated to the magazine subscription service. I do not believe this was a fraudulent charge, just a very poorly managed and poorly communicated charge with multiple bits of misinformation that made it appear fraudulent.

Like all the other complaints, I began receiving Vogue magazine in the last few months after never signing up for a subscription (nor wanting it). I reached out to Vogue and was told I had to deal with a company called Subco to cancel the subscription. They informed me theyre a third party company that manages subscriptions for a lot of magazine companies. After weeks of back and forth between Subco and Vogue, Subco finally let me know they canceled the subscription today but also noted it was a subscription started by this group, Magazine Readers Group, in hopes that Id want to keep the subscription. I cannot find a single legitimate source to reach out to Magazine Readers Group but Ive never authorized this and have no desire to be receiving any physical magazines. I would like all of my contact information removed and do not want to get anything further from this company.

I received a magazine that I never signed up for or subscribed to because that is not something I would do, I don't need an additional bill. I contacted the magazine company and they told me my contact information was sent through a 3rd party vendor called Subco and that I would need to contact them for a cancellation. So I called Subco and they then informed me that it was information was from an additional company called Magazine Readers Group (I've never heard of either of these companies Subco or Magazine Readers Group). I called Magazine Readers Group and told them to remove my name and contact information from their list immediately. They compiled but I don't like how somehow my name and address is out there just to use. I don't want the subscription and I for sure don't and shouldn't be charged for something that I did not approve.

Recently, I started receiving issues of Better *************** magazine. I did not subscribe to it. I thought it may have been a gift from someone. As the magazines keep coming and I cannot find anyone who gave it to me as a gift, I reached out directly to BH&G to see who subscribed to this magazine in my name. They gave me the name of a company called ****** (of which I have never heard before). I called them and they said my subscription is through a company named Magazine Readers Group again, of which I have never heard. I tracked down a phone number from the BBB *************), but get a very odd sound (not like a busy signal) and no answer. I dont know how they got my information but I want them investigated for such practices. I dont want this magazine subscription and I want this SCAM Group to remove all my contact information from their database. To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe I have ever been billed for this magazine. I don't like the fact that they were able to do this with my personal information and without my consent.

My information is being shared by this company to obtain unwanted magazine subscriptions. I would like this company to remove my information from their lists and to stop sending my information out to companies like *****. I have never done business with this company and I have no clue how they got my information. Please remove me from your mailing lists and stop sending me unwanted magazines.
