I was promised that this people would collect from the insurance company after they serviced my home for initial water damaged. My claim is still open and my attorney is going to mediation to finalize the process which is taking a little longer but it is being worked on. A few months back the company was sold and the new owner decided to send me to collections without even a phone call for a ridiculous amount of $20K to place a few fans around my bathroom and some drilled holes made on my ceiling, absolutely nothing else! When to my surprise I received the letter from the collection agency, I reached out and explained that we are going to mediation and they tried to bully me to pay out of pocket knowing that they take a lot less from the insurance company. On the original contract states that I'm responsible for the work if they could not collect form the insurance company and my claim is ongoing but they still sent me to collections without even a phone call to find out the status.

As per attached screenshots you have ***** the adjuster that recommended Water Clean, *********************** who came to my home and signed me up and stills works for Water Clean, ***************** who works for water clean, and ******** from the adjuster office all saying and confirming that I was told at my home that Water Clean will collect directly from the insurance company as long the claim was not denied which it was not,its still on going. Ive been promised to have it removed from my credit then they stopped answering calls. To this day today I do not have a bill from them, just the letter from collections. They expect me to pay for something without an itemized bill confirming which services were rendered. No one ever called or sent a bill, will not answer calls and just sent the bill to the insurance. That signed paper was explained to me if annd only the claim was denied. I lost a property purchase because of that and they are charging interest. My attorney is going to mediation to resolve this and Water clean is doing all they can to be hostile and cause harm to my person otherwise I wouldve gotten a bill and someone would try to resolve this. I do not accept the amount they charging me because I do not know what is for and I also do not accept that they explicit said in person and many people on their own company knows that they will wait and collect from the insurance and now they are doing this under new ownership to damage clients credit and finances. Their workers are aware as well the people that referred me to them. Again its been a while of this contract was what they were supposed to do it wouldve happened 40 days after they left my house, they know they are wrong and they do not care! I have more screenshots of conversations but it wont let me upload in here, this is unacceptable the way I was treated and damaged with no cause, I never knew my account was going to collections , I never knew they wanted to colect before the claim was finalized until It was already too late, I was waiting for the process to be over how I was promised and blindside by their actions.my home is still not repaired due to the new insurance regulations in the state its all taking longer, they never had the courtesy to tell me the business was sold and was we going to happen.

On June 14, 2024, this company addressed a minor leak in our AC closet that we caught very quickly and luckily did not get widespread. We were told by their employee that the company does not collect any money out of pocket from us. We were told the company only collects money that our insurance pays out for the issue once the claim is filed. To address the small amount of water damage, the company placed a couple fans and removed a couple feet of baseboards. We provided the company with the check that our insurance paid for damages. The check was cashed and cleared by this company. Months later, they are now billing us for out of pocket charges to cover a remaining balance. On top of that, Water Damage Clean reported/billed repairs to cost $9,000 when insurance (****) only estimated repairs to cost $3,000. When we explained to the company that we were told we would not have to pay any out of pocket expenses, they told us that the employee who told us that no longer works for their company. They also mentioned that this company was taken over by new owners recently. We have not paid any money out of pocket to this company as we were soecifically told by their employee that we would not have to. Also, the amount they are billing for is an outrageous over charge in comparison to estimated costs by insurance. Unfortunately, this company took advantage of new home owners with a small leak issue. We would like our account cleared and to stop being harassed for a payment that we never agreed to accept and were told we would not be responsible for. Thank you,Account name and address:*************************** ******************************************

The date was: Wednesday, May 17, 2023 We paid : $2,300.00 in cash: check made out to Water Damage Clean They brought in 5 fans telling us that they needed to dry out the walls before doing performing any further mitigation. We were in a desperate situation having found out we were inundated with Black Mold. Not having any experience in this area we agreed to services from them only to find out when we discussed the situation with proper contractors that WDC misguided us and apparently sold us a "bill of goods,"I called into the company after 24 hours and was told to speak to *****. ***** never returned ANY of my 1/2 dozen or so calls to the company. My last message was left Sunday, May 21st to inform WDC that they MUST remove their fans ASAP. We were able to reach someone early morning Monday, 5/22/23 and they did remove their fans in a timely manner; however, we have yet to receive an invoice or a returned phone call; therefore, the only proof of service we possess is a cancelled check from the company. I know this company took advantage of me and my wife as we were in shock to find out the condition of our home post inspection. At the time we write this we have yet to receive a call-back.

Wednesday, May 17, 2023, Water Damage Clean provided a free inspection to **************** at ******************************************************************** and determined his property needed water mitigation for his AC leak that affected his dining room, laundry room, and garage. **************** was quoted $2,300.00 for water mitigation in accordance with industry standards. Our bill was agreed upon prior to any work being completed. Payment was collected via check after **************** signed our contract authorizing the work to be completed for this agreed price.

As per IICRC guidelines, Water Damage Clean installed 3 Dehumidifiers, 3 HEPA Air Scrubbers and 1 Hydroxyl Generator to dry out the affected areas. No fans were installed as a precaution of microbial growth being present. The previously mentioned equipment was monitored May 18th and 19th and then picked up as per Mr. ******* demand on May 22, 2023.

******************* had no direct calls or voicemails, nor direct contact with **************** as he was out on leave during the time **************** called the office. We were hired to mitigate the water damage, not remove any microbial growth. Water Damage Clean is not a mold assessing company. We do offer mold remediation services; however, we were never presented with an initial mold test showing microbial growth. If we were to proceed with any mold remediation work, we would need test results from a mold assessor and would require a separate agreement for that scope of work. This job was paid for in full for the services rendered.
