The contractor was to install a door frame for my back door. He came on 7/22 and saw the job then quoted $300. The contractor called day of project, 7/23 and said he had to pick up caulk and a door jam. He came the next day 2 hours later than stated he would. Then stated he had to leave mid project to take care of his Air Bnb. He did not come back for 3 hours. He worked on the job til 11pm but did not finish, left screws and nails in the area where my animals could be injured, and stated he would be back the next day. When he came back he wanted $90 more than the quote and was upset when I stated no. He finished the job poorly. I had to leave for an appointment and my mother paid him. He did not finish the job, left a hole in my wall, did not properly fit the door frame and caulked instead, stole the spring for my screen door, and broke the corner of my door. He also left trash everywhere including his water bottles. When contacted he denied the damaged, stated I was hustling him and I didnt pay for him to clean up. He refuses to pay for the damages or to fix the screen door that now does not lock or have the spring. The door was $100 and he refuses to pay for the damage.

Good morning,  I met with ********* and we agreed on $300 for labor only for a door frame install and door install. The agreement was for that job only door and frame. She stated she did not have the frame, so me being the good contractor that I am and trying to satisfy my client the best I can said I would purchase the frame and she would pay me for the material. The materials were $91 dollars. I started doing the job and a couple hours in there was a leak at an ****** I manage so I had to stop the leak as thats an emergency call. I came back that same day later on to finish the job and stood until 11pm working there. There were no animals around the work area! Her animals were locked inside the house safe. I came back the next day to finish the job and finished and her mom inspected everything before I asked for any money. I showed her the frame and showed her the door closing and opening perfectly fine. Her house has Sheetrock that was broken on the wall that was not in the agreement for scope of work. She only had money for the door and frame and as I would love to help people I cant work for free. She already explained she wasnt going to pay me for her material of $91 dollars and I stated that was fine I wasnt upset at all. She has severe anger issues and started texting me aggressively. I would have went back to the address to try to satisfy her as best as I can even though my job was done but the aggressiveness is a liability to me and I cant take risk like that with an angry lady who cant control her temper. I cleaned up all the scrap wood and placed it in a neat pile for because she does DIY projects so I thought I was being nice leaving scrap wood she can use for future projects. Also she stated her door was damaged. She bought the door for $100 dollars off a man on ********* I inspected the door before installing and the top corner was peeling a bit. There was glue behind that corner which means the man was selling the door at a discounted price because he glued the corner. Before I touched the door I inspected it. I seen the corner and she was standing right next to me and she seen the corner as well. Ive installed hundreds of doors and never seen glued corners. She tried to blame me for the mans poor rejuvenating skills of that door. Her door frame is perfectly installed and her door closes and works perfectly fine. Shes angry at the old frame and door that was left outside but I explained to this lady that I would not being doing junk removal only installing the door. She then said that her animals could have got hurt. After her mom payed me her mom stated that the area would remain closed until ********* got home. Her animals were safe the whole time. This lady is trying to hustle me to get her money back. She also stated I was angry at the fact that she wouldnt give me $91 dollars for material. I explained to her and her mom that it is ok I will help out my clients and its my job to satisfy clients. I did this job for $209 dollars. The demolition of the old frame and door and install of a new frame and door. The frame had to be cut to size and the work load was worth way more than $209. My original price was $550 to do this installation. I came down to $300 and gave a $250 dollar discount because I seen that they needed help. Also after removing the old frame I noticed she had no framing around the top so I added framing as well which was not part of the deal! I tried my best to satisfy this client and she contacted me demanding money very aggressively and bath mouthing my work. I went above and beyond for this client for $209 dollars. I did my job and her mom said it looks lovely thank you very much *** she payed me. Before paying me she inspected the door for about 10 minutes. I did my best and swept up and cleaned up before I left. ********* told me not to worry about the old frame that was left outside that she would dispose of it.

I am rejecting this response because:
It was clearly stated in the post I made that was responded by ******* that I needed a frame AND door. I also NEVER told him I would dispose of the frame. Nor did I say I would clean up after him. He texted me saying I didnt pay for clean and haul. Also. My door frame did NOT have a hole at the top until he removed the parts and left it that way for me to repair. As well as ripping the wall from where the frame was and not attaching the screen door back properly
      Sincerely,

We had contracted ******* Carmoega to install a walk in closet organizer. He came to see the closet late November and he quoted us $1300 and took a $500 deposit on January 18, with a start date of January 22, 2024. On the day he was to arrive, he said he would be there at 8 am, he did not show up until 10:30am and he came empty handed. He had no materials or tools. He asked if we had a ********** or Loews credit card so he could go purchase the material. We believed the deposit was for the materials. He said no, but he would go to Lowes and gather the material and then give us the price for the materials. He then quoted us $1300 for materials alone. This new quote would now make the job *******. We told him we could not afford that, and that that was not the original quote. He said he understood and offered a refund. We said yes, we would take the refund. He has not returned the deposit of $500, nor is he answering our phone calls now. I just want a refund, so I do not have to go to small claims court.
