Comfort zone was hired to replace both acs when I moved into my home. Both acs were replaces and had been working fine. 1st issue, the company hadnt closed the permits properly and miam-dade placed a lean on my home. When I informed ******** she told me she would tell the owner and that he was out sick. Then she told me that it was my fault or better yet told my lawyer it was my fault the permit wasnt closed properly. A permit that I never opened. At first they said they wouldnt pay the fine but then they did. Now here we are a year later and my motor goes out. Which is under warranty I call them they come and I get a bill for 929 600 for labor 200 to reconnect the ac to the ceiling because they had to disconnect it to take the motor off 129 for the house visit. The motor was taken with the tech. I informed them that I didnt understand why I needed to pay **************************************************************************************** the new motor (which is under warranty) theyre sending back the defective one since I dont want to use their services. Lol this whole experience has been a joke. Theyre unprofessional and always are trying to get over. The fact that I even had to pay to get my lawyer involved due to their negligence is wild and beyond me. If youre looking to for a company to do your work. Look elsewhere.

***************, as you know your permit is closed, your labor warranty is over. If you disagree with price just say no thank you and we both move on. Labor is expensive these days along with gas and tech pay. Please have a local vendor fix your ac issues. We will drop off your old part tomorrow. Have a great day.

On 4/4/2022 we called Comfort Zone **** because our unit wasn't cooling properly. They checked out the unit, added coolant and the unit was cooling. And then it wasn't. They came back and installed a new thermostat. It was cooling for a couple of hours, then it wasn't cooling again. We gave them a check for $779.96. Same problem, not cooling. The motor just ran and blew warm air. *****, the owner recommended we replace the unit with a new one. Or we could continually repair this one... So on 4/6/2022 we gave him another check for $1800.00 for them to order the unit. We got a call telling us the unit had arrived, but without the coil, it was on backorder. Supply chain issues... They could get the **** to work without it. They would install the coil as soon as it arrived. They had a technician install the unit. It worked well. They asked for a check for the remaining balance, we were hesitant since the job wasn't complete, but the receptionist, ********, said that they had already paid ***** for the unit and assured me that they were on it with the company about the coil. It could take a couple of weeks. 4/26/2022 I wrote the final payment check for $1478.Fast forward to 1/10/2023, still no coil! And they are ignoring us! There have been numerous texts and calls back and forth. I have all of the texts on my phone.

Hello, I'm responding to this complaint and will resolve the issue. Unfortunately I've been sick and dealing with health issues. I recently had surgery and I'm recovered to the point where I'm back in the business catching up on lots of things. I have the check ready but just needed my signature for it to be sent. I had major surgery and was out of the office for months. I do apologize for this and will get customer refunded this week. My apologies.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have texts from the company stating that the part was going to be installed, *****, the owner was on vacation, and they had already cut a check and were in the process of mailing it

Comfort Zone Air Conditioning has made excuses and lies for almost 10 months. Even though they were paid in full for the unit on April of 2022.
They have ignored us until I filed a complaint with the BBB. Nothing that they said or texted has been truthful. Sincerely,

      ********************

I purchased a Hydrotech Air Conditioning unit for my condo in April of 2020. For well over a year the a/c stops working. It shows error code high pressure. Comfort Zone came out and "cleaned out the hoses," They came about 6 or 7 times and did the same procedure over and over again. I live in a building with 167 units. I am the only one that has this problem. Comfort Zone ***** (owner) insists it's the building causing the issues. I have had conversations with many people in my building. No one else has this issue. I have had to pay someone $350 a month (twice now it happened two times in a month) to "blow" out the pipes. There is sand (I live by the beach), everyone else when they clean theirs for normal maintenance will have a little bit of sand in theirs as well. It does not however stop their units from working. I am beyond stressed and the money spent is a financial burden. The unit is obviously defective. I was out a/c from Friday until Tuesday due to a building problem with the cooling tower. Everyone else in the building had a/c on Saturday.

Weve installed the zero years ago never had issues with it until recently. The building does not maintain their water tower on a regular basis. The tube and tube is always getting filled with sand. We cleaned out the system a couple times no charge to the customer even though it wasnt a manufacturer default. As a courtesy to our clients we help them in anyway shape or form but one is building negligence and we find beach sand inside of an AC unit that means that its receiving it from the water tower. I understand theres other units in the building that are probably experiencing the same issue or not because some residents are seasonal and dont know if theyre there all the time. I will be more than happy to bring a Hydrotech technician out there to further diagnose the unit and explain it to the clients. We have never left her alone on this situation weve always answer her phone calls weve always been there for her and we try to do the best we can but when there is sand in your unit theres not much we can do unless the building itself does something to the tower to prevent sand from getting in the unit . Once we clean the unit out and remove the sounds the unit cools down perfectly fine . I have shown her the sand in her unit in a bucket several times and she was even shocked to see how much sand was in the unit. I do have pictures of the sand I just have to do some research so I can load them up onto this file so you can see it for yourself.

I am rejecting this response because: I live in a building with 164 other units. How is it possible that only mine has these issues. Logically the unit is defective. If even one person had the same issues, I would never have filed a report. Again, this happens monthly for well over a year (sometimes twice in a month). In a building with 164 other units - only one to have this issue. This did not happen with the old unit.

I'll be more than happy to contact tech support and have a tech agent come take look at the unit. We don't need anyone upset and also we can keep working for free due to building negligence.

I am rejecting this response because:

the unit goes over 100 degrees in less than 2 minutes. The building cannot be negligent on only my unit. Again its just my a/c that has this issue. Yes the sand stops it from working - other units are able to filter it out. This a/c just stops working. In order for me to be satisfied I feel like I should get a replacement unit. I feel this a/c unit is a lemon. Im  willing to pay some money towards it. Again - its not the building. I do not understand how Comfort Zone keeps blaming the building with 165 other a/cs working without a problem. Its logic.

      Sincerely,
