I had put an offer on a car at Drive Oz in *******. At the same time, they had a jewelry store in the dealership & had mentioned that I had a few loose stones that I had appraised and he said he said he would love to look at them to sell them. He also asked me if I had any gold to sell. I told him I was offered $3,700, he looked at them in a loop and told me he could get more for sure. He agreed to sell them for $250-$300. He said he would have an answer for me the next day he would take them to the dealer.The same day I put a refundable $1,000 on a 2023 Tesla model X plaid. I had already been approved for the loan. Once down payment was made, communication became difficult. I was unsure if there were other buyers or if I was buying the car because he had offered to split the difference if he was able to sell the car at a higher price. A lot happened that made me uncomfortable with the deal, but mostly that nothing was lining up. I was worried I had not yet received the money for the diamonds, he already said he had a deal from the dealer, but in the conversation he guaranteed me $4,000 and said he was sending them to a lab in *** to see if he could get even more. I gave him the diamonds June 1st. it's June 12th. He has made 5 different promises, each time stringing me along with an excuse. For that reason I made a point to put our agreement in text. I cancelled the order on the Tesla, due to health issues & not feeling comfortable. I was given several dates & then no communication and then excuses and more time. When I got upset after the 5th time being strung along, ******* blew up and told me to come pick up the diamonds, then that they weren't there yet and I could pick up tomorrow. He started changing the story making it seem like I was dishonest, which was completely out of left field. I want the $4,000 promised, I am not comfortable taking back loose diamonds that have been out of my hands for weeks & don't believe they are in ***.
