Today, 07/06/2023 my Credit Karma reported that my credit score decreased because of a hard pull from Premium Credit Bureau. I'm currently in touch with Hometown Mortgage Resources in *********, ** for pre-qualify home mortgage, I keep asking "It will not affect my credit score, right? I don't want to proceed with a hard pull" and they reassured me that "It is just a soft pull and will not affect my credit score" but today I found out that it does affect my credit score and that is not ok, I did not give consent to this. I purchased a home in 2021. On 10/20/22, I called a mortgage company to see if I can refinance my home. I requested the employee to give me a good faith estimate and I specifically instructed not to pull my credit due that I am not sure if I want to move forward and for the fact that the interest rate at that time was at 7%. My interest rate in 2021 mortgage purchased was only 3%. After reviewing the good faith estimate, I informed the employee that I am not interested because the interest rate was ridiculous high. Later that day, I received a notification on my Credit Karma that there was a new hard inquiry in my credit report. The hard inquiry was pulled on 10/20/2022 by Pcb-premium. I did not authorized for my credit to be pulled. I am stressing about this illegal activity and the negativity that has caused my credit score. I am requesting for you to remove this inquiry from my credit report. If this is not resolved, I am forced to hire an attorney to resolve this injustice matter.Business response

Today, July 21, 2022, I went to www.oneloanplace.com to search for options on getting a consolidation loan. After filling out some information to see what I might pre qualify for, it said to contact them/someone will contact me. I did receive a call from them, gave them some more information and was transferred to another company that would be willing to help me. I'm very sure I brought up not wanting a hard inquiry done and that I just wanted to see what I pre qualified for. I also kept asking "I'm not agreeing to anything, right?" The woman kept dancing around the question and saying really weird stuff. She said something about a hardship consolidation law firm. I told her I did not want to go on any further. I knew something bad was going to happen. I immediately went to my Credit Karma account and saw that a hard inquiry was made. I would like this fixed please!Business response
