The representative I originally spoke to would never call or email me back. His office told me 3 times h*** call me back and 4 times h*** email me back. I have autism and I feel Ive been taken advantage of. I had my dad help me out and the whole thing was suspicious. Nationwide denied that theyre trying to sign us up and my dad could tell that they were.Business response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We thrive on our employees to give the best customer service to our consumers. We have researched your file in our system and unfortunately you did not qualify for our services and we would not be able to sign you up. I do see that you stated that you stated that you had sent in an email, which the representative you spoke to informed you he did not receive it on 5-13-2024. I also know your representative's direct manager reached out to you to inform you of this as well on 05-15-2024. When things are more favorable for you receiving a loan, feel free to reach back out to us.Customer response

I was referred to Nationwide *************** by simple path. I talked with an agent that was my Concierge. I told him I needed to refi my current loan to lower my interest and my payments. We talked about how much I needed to pay off the current loan I had. With that being said he shouldve told me we should ask for more money because this is our fee. I was approved for a loan but they took out an origination fee, which left me short about 3K to pay off my loan. I called him and said well this loan isnt going to work and the loan had to be cancelled. He said that I still owe the fee but I dont have the loan. I thought the purpose of the company was to help me. I said well why cant we apply for a new loan the manager said I didnt qualify for one but that I need to pay the fee or they will start the process of putting it on my credit. If I was supposedly under contract for a certain amount a months. Why not wait a month to see if you ciiid help me. Now Im out 1500 with no loan. And they wouldnt let me out my contract. It feels like a scamCustomer response

This company said that they would help me find a loan they did not help me find loan I found a loan on my own and then they said that that loan company is part of their field of clients and so I owe them 10% of whatever the loan amount is they didn't find it they didn't fill out the application for it they didn't do absolutely anything but yet they want 10%, well they're not going to get it I sign no agreement with them and did not ask for their services other than they just popped up on the internet and said that they could help almost like a debt consultant firm that most the time work for free. If they had done anything such as finding the loan or helping to secure it I could see their point but they did not so I do not owe them anythingBusiness response

Management has spoken to **************** and explained that he is not responsible for any fee since he did not obtain a loan. The client has a better understanding of the process and the issue has been resolved.
Nationwide Loan Consultants &Advisors, LLC (the Company), is a ******* limited liability company. The principal address of the business is in **************************************** provides research and matching services to individuals interested in obtaining a consumer loan (a loan made to an individual for personal, family, household or investment purposes) and is licensed in various states to provide such services. The Company does not make credit decisions, fund loans, service loans, or offer any other similar loan services.Furthermore, the Company does not and cannot issue approvals or commitments on any lenders behalf, in fact lenders will require additional information from consumers in order to complete their loan application.
The Company only charges a success fee to the consumer, which means the payment of a consulting and advising fee to the Company from the consumer is contingent upon the consumer finding a satisfactory lender from the list generated by the Company, and the exchange of money between lender and consumer. The consumer makes the ultimate decision on whether to move forward with the application from a specific lender on the list provided by the Company, or not move forward at all. The Company does not charge the consumer any money up front and does not collect any money from the consumer unless the consumer successfully obtains a loan from a lender through the services provided by the Company.
Here, the consumer entered into a **************** Agreement with the Company, whereby she agreed to pay a consulting and advising fee to the Company of ****%. The **************** Agreement expressly provides that if the consumer ultimately accepts a loan from one of the lenders that the Company provided information to the consumer about, the consumer agrees to pay the success fee. Moreover, the consumer agrees not to circumvent the Company. Company did in fact facilitate a consumer loan for the consumer, which she accepted and has since been funded. However, the consumer circumvented the Company because she did not feel the services were what she wanted. The Company is simply trying to collect its success fee, and was not aware of the consumer's personal circumstances.Initial Complaint

I originally applied for a loan and was given a 13% interest fee and $2200 as a loan. Then it was rescinded and I was given the choice of another loan at supposedly 16% interest and $2400 fee. I said I wanted to see the details of this other loan but instead the woman from Nationwide put the loan through immediately without giving me time to think about it. I told her I felt like I was being scammed but it was too late. When I looked at the contact from ******** it turns out there is also an origination fee on top of the fee from Nationwide which was never mentioned. A total scam.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:The problem was that the conversation with the agent was difficult and made me feel like they were scamming me. The agent would not let me talk and put a loan through before I had a chance to review it. It made a lot of extra work for me and anxiety that they would charge me anyway. They did cancel the loan but I had already talked to the company myself.
Sincerely,

Starting from couple weeks ago, I kept receiving phone calls from a representative by the name of ********************************** was constant, harassing, and on a daily basis. While I understood I recently applied for personal loan with another company, I have never authorized this company to contact me by calling me, texting me, and emailing me. I have even replied to this representative's email previously and texted back saying they have no permission to contact me. However, the harassing behaviors and contacts still kept going. I received yet another call and email just today. I cannot stand this any longer and need them to stop immediately.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Your response is not an apology by any means or even realize what your employee has done to "potential customers."
I hope you understand I can easily report you to the police and escalate this as a harassment issue, because it is.
I have never authorized your office to contact me by phone, text, or email. Yet your employee disregarded my wishes by continuously calling me, texting me with another person's name, and then proceed to email me even after I already expressed I do not wish to be contacted by your office.
Your attitude of not willing to even realize this is a harassment is obvious in your response and it is unacceptable. It is probably also the reason why your employee know no boundaries or have any respect for the law.
Sincerely,

I called Nationwide Loan Consultants to inquire if they were able to acquire a loan for me based upon our conversation the week before. I signed the customer agreement that they requested. The agent whom I spoke with on 6/1/2023, stated that I was not offered a loan from any of their partners. On 6/2/2023, I requested that an email be sent to me stating that they were not able to find me a loan and that I be released from the customer agreement. I received an email from *****************, Department Manager, stating that they were unable to find me a loan at this time, but to contact them if there is a change within my credit profile.Business response

This company contacted me in December and was trying to get me a loan, after considering the loans, I accepted one with SoFI but then was denied for the original terms they offered so I was not interested. Prior to this, I was offered a loan with better terms from a lender directly. every loan they came back with had high payments and high interest rates so I Apparently, they pulled my credit file again after I told them I was not interested in their help as their original offer fell through. I took the loan that they are trying to say they helped me obtain to help pay for my cancer treatments. Fast forward two months now, I get a threatening text and email from this company telling me I owe them almost $2,000 because I got a loan with one of the lenders they have in their contacts. Im completely lost and definitely dont have this money to pay this company when I havent even talked to them in 3 months and then all of a sudden I owe them almost $2000. This sounds like a scam or that they are preying on people. I cant afford to pay someone for a service they didnt provide me. If I would have gotten the loan through them I would be happy to pay their fee, but they were of no service to me. I turned down their service months before. They are threatening to ruin my credit and legal action. I do not need this stress in my life as I am a mother of two fighting for her life. They should be ashamed of themselves preying on people.Business response

Misleading about their services on how i would obtain a personal loan to consolidate debt, created an email address that they would use and not give me access to until I obtained a loan, asked me to lie to potential loan companies they were submitting to on my behalf and have since threatened to *** me if I obtain a loan on my own through any of the companies they had applied to on my behalf.Business response

This company was trying to get me a loan at the end of March, every loan they came back with had high payments and high interest rates so I turned them down. She was very pushy on the phone before I let her try and after I told her no that everything she came back with wouldnt work for me. Now I have credit Karma and 60 days later and I wasnt actively looking for a loan but a good offer pops up and being a single mom of 2 boys I was like that would really help and lower my current payment. So all I did was take enough to pay off my current loan to lower my payment no more no less. Then 2 months later I get a call from this company telling me I owe them over $1000 because I got a loan through credit karma from ******** and Im completely lost and definitely dont have over $1000 to pay this company when I havent even talked to them in 5+ months and then all of a sudden I owe them over $1000.
