This company is a Fraud. Overcharging, No delivery on time. Do not get all your belongings. Demand Cash before they will unload your belongings. I did not get all my things and they wont answer my phone calls. Please do not use them.

If I could give zero stars I would. They deserve to be shut down!! I had a 4 bedroom house with a completed basement. They got me good. They took my money, they sold my move to another company, and they didn't even take everything I needed moved. I have three kids, they did not take their beds or dressers (after telling me to keep the dressers full to not use so many boxes. They left my washer and dryer behind, they left my couches, they left my tool boxes and compressor. They left my motorcycle lift. They gave me 624 cubic feet to fit a 4 bedroom house in. I didnt find this out until the truck arrived. My kids and husband were already there in the new home waiting for the moving truck. I was told I only had 1/4 of the maybe 18 foot truck that showed up. Then I was told I could buy more space but the truck was full because it had another familes belongings in it. They did take my bed and my dresser though, they took a few boxes they took my tv and my guitar and my TV stand. I was told 5 to 8 days for delivery. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard from them. They don't answer phones. The guy that took down my move and deposit, his phone goes straight to voicemail now and he doesn't reply to emails or text. The company they sold my move to... they are rude and they hang up on you when you call with questions. The driver actually called me and said if I don't pay him the rest in cash he won't deliver my belongings.This is disgraceful. This is disgusting. They claim to be a veteran owned company and that we could trust them. I am a 100% homebound, disabled veteran, my husband is a 100% disabled veteran and this is how they treat a fellow veteran? Why? Just why? I want my money back quadruple times over. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Criminals. I wish I could give it 0 stars. These people tried ******* my 85 year old mother out of thousands more than they quoted.

Scheduled a move back in January. But because of certain factors had to change move locations. Called and spoke with customer service several times, keep getting the same person who is very rude. When asking to speak with a manager, she says no one is in. Keep being put on hold, then phone gets disconnected. Call back asking for a manager and customer service rep says no one is available and doesnt know when theyll be in. **************** rep is very rude and seems like she has better things to do than to help someone. I am a veteran and when booking the move, owner gets on the phone and says how much they like to help veterans and that the move will be seamless. Definitely not feeling that now. Seems like they just want someones money then dont want to help after that. Also, I was dealing with **** and was recently told that he left back in March but received correspondence by e mail from him just a couple of days ago???? **************** rep cant explain that at all. Tried talking with someone in sales but left on hold until they hang up the phone on you. Would definitely not have used them if I had seen all these horrible reviews but were not listed online when I booked with them. This is definitely not a veteran owned company because veterans would not treat other veterans this way.

Our family sold our home in ************* to relocate closer to our family and friends. Our representative was *******, very nice to speak with on the phone. I gave him an itemized list for an our family home. Two floors, three bedroom home. I signed a contract for a cost of the list I gave him.Moving day came, movers arrived with an 1800 cubic foot truck. Small for what we had to move. The movers instructed us that they hadi not yet received the contract and read it from my email. ******* gave us 680 cubic feet for a three bedroom home! The movers told us that it would be triple the cost of we were told. I immediately called ******* but no answer. I sent him an email but no response. I called the company directly and was met with a very unfriendly, rude customer service representative. I insisted on speaking with a manager to get everything sorted out but was told that no managers were in. I called on a Monday at 3:30 in the afternoon! I explained to the representative what was going on and was told that wed have to pay whatever the cost for additional space., and she would pass along the message, then she hung up! Triple the cost! I will be taking legal action!

I have never been madder and more disappointed in a company than I am at American Way moving. They are total scammers!!! *** started out so nice telling you all about how they are veteran owned and his story and after we went through my inventory he quoted me a price for the full move. All good right? Three days before I was closing to sell my house - exactly close enough that it pretty much would have been impossible to hire a new company- I get a call from a different guy. This guy says he needs to verify my inventory. He goes on to tell me *** had not done the math right and I now needed two trucks instead of one. I told him I would not do that and he could just send the one truck and if everything didnt fit I would move it later. At that point he still said he had to charge me more because Dans math was wrong. This is the first time I was uncharged and it added 50% of my original quote - so now I was at 150% of the original quote. Had no choice and agreed. Then they didnt show up until late the night they were scheduled and it wasnt even them. They had hired out my job to a totally different company called Good Move USA. The woman in charge was completely unprofessional and they didnt even finish getting my stuff packed that night and had to come back the next day. And I got up charged again for bulk items that were in the original inventory list. At this point I was at DOUBLE my original quote. Once they had everything in the truck I get another bombshell. They arent going to be delivering my stuff the next week as we had discussed they would have it there anytime in the next 6 WEEKS!! They put your stuff in a damp musty storage unit until they have time to deliver it. Then when my stuff finally came a month later boxes were smashed and my very expensive sleep number bed had been broken when they took it apart. After all that *** and American Way wont even answer my calls. STAY AWAY from this company!!!!!

If i could give a 0 star i would. I actually dont tend to write negative reviews and try to only write good ones. But this was really bad. I was promised a truck for a certain date and was promised certain things like phone calls by certain individuals in the begining. No big deal. I was told my cost would go up. Then when they called a couple days prior to my move they increased the cost bc i had more boxes.they said i would get a call by the end ofbthe night if i havent already heard about my 2 hr window.i didnt get any call.the night before my move still nothing after 8pm. I called them onnall the direct lines i was given and was told i was given them due to my circumstances and they w were very understanding of it. I finally heard after 1030pm and they said the truck broke down.when i said i have to be out tomorrow they said ill call you back and see what i can do.no call back. I called morning of move andnleft messages a couple times and then when spoke w someone they said they would call me right back.never did.i canceled the move and called them back comunicating this. I worked on finding someone new and that was a whole different experience from the beginning. Hours later both companies trucks showed up at the same time. I gave the first company a piece of my mind and im not one to say much and confront people. But our sitution is very time senstive and needed to be careful due to domestic violence. Now this company is trying to come after me for the deposit. So many things wost experense ever.

I feel that I'm being pressured/harassed by this company's representatives. In preparation for a cross-country move, I contacted different moving companies, submitting my inventory, and speaking with various reps. ******************** was one of the first companies I spoke with. On the phone with the rep, who seemed chatty and friendly, I mentioned that I'm moving because I've retired, and that I live alone. I considered American Way's offer but decided to go with a different company. More than 2 months after I've told American Way that I signed with another company, they are still calling me and leaving messages like "I'm calling to discuss aspects of your upcoming move," and sending me email messages with attachments showing the addresses and moving dates I provided them months ago. These attachments resemble official contracts and invoices, showing the deposit that I should pay. I don't think that American Way is still trying to secure my business. I think, instead, that the company's essentially trawling me, doing this on the chance that I, a solo female old enough to retire, might get confused, forget which company I signed with, and send them some money too. While this would be a pretty smart strategy for American Way to make some $, it would also be predatory.

They quoted me $2154 to pack up and move across town, pretty good I thought. NEVER mentioned they sub out the work to third party people, and you pay buy how much of the truck is used. First, the "truck" is a trail that you would use to move landscaping equipment in, I was moving a 2bed apartment, that had been fully explained. So halfway thru packing the truck the mover is like it will be an additional $700 cash to deliver your stuff! I of course, had no choice, because I had to be out that day. Now, I am currently on hold with American Way Moving to speak with someone about this again for the second time and have been on hold for 10+ minutes (not bad, yet) but before the sale was complete, they would literally pick up the phone immediately.This company does very shady business, I multiple times said my final number is 2154? ******* and ******** both reassured me it was-LIES!

This company quoted me $7100 and when the moving company showed up they changed the quote to $15000. I had to cancel the whole thing and they are still trying to keep my deposit. This company lied from the beginning, never stuck to the timelines they gave me for updating inventory lists etc. the original sales man never returned or answered my calls and their customer service team is a joke. I will be taking them to court if they do not offer the entirety of the deposit back for services that were not rendered.
