The contract was to remove fence and haul away, form and pour slab with Dade code footer. Furnish and install (1) *** Dade code Mansard Super Cage with Picture view design.Contract price $28,669. This required deposit of $10,669, ck number ****, paid on 15 Oct 21. No work done through November, contacted ***************, @ ************, said there were delays, should get to it next month. No work done after the new year, contacted many times throughout that period. I was told to contact *****, ************ because ***** was not doing well. ***** would answer calls and texts with excuses like shipping delays, no laborers, back log of work. Etc. In June of 2022 ***** called and said he has scheduled the pad to be poured. By contract this would pay another $9000, ck number ****. The *** Truck showed up and work for the pad was completed. Last month the county inspector came by to inspect the project, one year after the contract was signed. No Enclosure. Im satisfied with the Pad and not looking to get the $9000 back, but I do want my initial deposit of $10,699 returned.Initial Complaint

Affordable Screen Enclosure and I signed a contract in 09-2021 to add a concrete slab footing and screen the current patio and the addition. I gave a $4,000 deposit on this $10,900 job. The only reason I went with that company was that on the BBB website, they were listed as 5 stars. It turns out that they are out of business, bankrupt and with our money. It does not look like there is a way to get back our funds and these crooks even opened another business somewhere else under the wife's name. You can be certain that I will never trust again the Better Business Bureau ratings.Initial Complaint

Oct 2021 I signed contract for small screen enclosure at my house. June 2022 installation was due to begin so I paid 2nd deposit as requested. I've paid $7500 and no work started yet. No answer from phone or emails. July 2022 he filed for bankruptcy I'm now finding out about many others scammed for as much as $50,000. Owner needs to be arrested as this is clearly intentional fraud.Initial Complaint

This company has taken my deposit and has not done any work. They do not answer any calls or respond to any messages. It looks like I am not the only one having problems with this company. I believe this company is scamming elderly. They have your logo on their website but they aren't BBB Credited per your web site but they have this quote which is misleading "trusted by the Better Business Bureau"Initial Complaint

I contracted their services 6/8/2021. It's been very challenging working with them originally they estimated the patio would be completed in two months, it's now over a year later and the patio is still incomplete. Contacting them since until 3/10/2022 was very challenging (they wouldn't respond to my emails or phone calls), they responded when I sent a text stating I'd pay cash rather than go the finance route. 4/1/2022 Pavel the owner then sent his contractor to begin the project and he also sent me a breakdown of the required payment plan which I paid the amount owed. Their contractor who worked on my patio ordered the remaining materials on 5/9/2022 which he advised me would take about 6 weeks. I've made several attempts to contact them via phone calls, text messages and emails since 6/13 and I haven't received a response.Initial Complaint

Me and my sister decided to have a screen porch built on our properties which are about one block away from each other. We each gave Affordable Screen a down payment of $3960.00.on May 6th of 2021 with a balance due of $4000.00 upon completion. We were told by the salesperson Beau that the job would be completed in 2-3 months the latest..Needless to say after many calls unanswered calls and the run around of excuses..************** the owner finished my sisters job in about 11 months..And has yet to start my project except for start digging for the foundation..I have called ************* over 2 dozen times without a respond..Then he calls to tell me that for him to start the job he needs in additional $2400.00..because of rising prices..I told him that if he had done the job in the time he was supposed to have done the job there would be no rise in the cost.He refuses to do any work unless I send him the additional money. I am not sending him any more money...I asked where my deposit was and he told me it was GONE...Please help me with this problem..I am totally frustrated about the whole matter. It has been over 13 months..Thank YouInitial Complaint

We entered into an agreement on 3/24/2021 to install an screen enclosure for $19,200. We have paid a total of $13,200 to date. The salesman indicated that the installation would take 16 weeks, meaning that it should have been done by July 2021.The company provided the engineering plans, secured the permit in July 2021, and installed the concrete footer in January 2022. After the footer was installed, the company left part of the patio strewn and rebar sticking out of certain parts of the footer for over three months. They somehow scheduled a final inspection of the screen structure in March 2022 despite the failure to finish said structure. Needless to say, the inspection failed. We had a subcontractor calling us in May 2022 requesting payment, as Pavel had not paid him. Pavel requested that we pay the subcontractor and grew impatient when we balked at this non-contractual request. Most of our inquiries to the company regarding the project go unanswered. When such inquiries are answered, estimated installation dates are false. On June 3, 2022, I spoke with a representative of the company who indicated that they could finish the installation the week of June 6th. She would not provide an exact date. Prior to hanging up, she asked me if I had received the revised welcome letter. I told her that I had not and she advised me that she would send it.What she sent was not remotely a welcome letter, but rather an email demanding an additional 30% above the stipulated contract price to complete the work. I rejected that demand. In order to remediate the situation, the company should refund all amounts paid and allow us to terminate the notice of commencement. I do not trust this company. Given the performance and the complete lack of care around the contract and the timeline, the company should do the right thing and refund all amounts paid. This will correctly reflect the value of work completed, which value is zero without the enclosure.Initial Complaint

I gave a $14,600 deposit for a screen enclosure on 2/11/22. I was told my work would be completed with in 3 months. My permitting paperwork was not even submitted until 6/6/22. On 6/7/22 I received an email from ****************** brokers stating that Affordable Screen Enclosures business insurance was cancelled due to non payment. The same day I seen a sign on their place of employment that states that they were evicted due to non payment on May 24, 2022. On May 31, 2022 we also received a letter stating there was a 30% increase. Wanting another ****** from us. We didn't agree to that we asked them to call us to speak about it and have not heard from them. I am attaching a few of the documents I have.WE would like to pay affordable for work completed which is engineering and partial permit and get a refund for the rest I am speaking with several others who have fallen into this same situation as us although their process had begun back in Sept and Nov of 2021. When calling or texting the company the response is usually nothing although sometimes its ill get back to you next week. I am super frustrated with this company taking advantage of me and many others. I am 74 and want to enjoy my retirement rather that be ripped off. Anything that you can do to help or prevent others from going thru the same thing would be greatly appreciated. Pavels wife also opened another company called affordable screen enclosures plus corp in January of this year.Initial Complaint

A contract was signed with this company back on August 31st of 2021 for them to redo our screened-in patio, and the pre-payment was submitted to them, but after signing and paying, we had to leave the country for 6 months due to family personal matters. Upon my return in April 2022, I contacted the company again to begin the work that had been agreed upon back in August. They came on April 6th to remove the screen and begin tearing down what needed to be torn down. After the demolition job was done, they did not return to complete the work for several days. I contacted them several times and each time they did not give me a clear answer or date of when they would be resuming work. The lady answering the phone became very rude to me and even hung up on me once. Finally after more than two weeks, the owner came by one day and after inspecting the patio area, he informed me that ********* were still in good condition and would not need to be replaced like he anticipated. I then asked him to please refund me for the amount that corresponded to ********* being replaced. He said they would do that and he said that they would return the following week to resume and complete the work, however, that following week, no one showed up. After I called again several times, they sent in a worker, but after one afternoon of work, the worker informed me that he was not able to finish the job, as the company had not ordered the correct material for the job, and that he was therefore quitting the job. I contacted the company again and after several phone calls, I ended up texting the owner. His reply was "Sorry, I can't talk right now" and when I asked why they had not sent anyone else to finish the job with the correct material, he replied "We're on quarantine since last week." At this point, I do not trust this company to complete the work, and have requested they refund me for the entire amount so that I may hire another company for the job, but they haven't replied to me.
